Korn: Live on the Other Side

I am a guy that watches a lot of concert DVDs and I have to say that this is one of my favorites I have seen. The sound and video quality is just incredible and you really do get that concert feel. I think the best thing about this concert is that is basically their "best of" collection, at least to the general audience. Of course there were some songs that were left out that die hard fans would have liked to have heard, but I am overall impressed with this. I think there wasn't a time when I wasn't dancing in my living room with the volume practically full blast! You just can't keep still watching it. It is a really fun thing to have in your collection, especially if you are a fan!

LOVE THES LIVE CONCERT

If your a audio snob like me, you will find the quality of this dvd offensive. The video is recorded ok. Just don't expect the songs on this dvd to make your audio system come alive .

I love this DVD, the concert is awesome. However, the sound in a couple of the songs is kind of sub-par. But still definitely worth what I paid for it. I would definitely recommend it.

I purchased the Live at Montreaux BD and was seriously disappointed because the vocals was so subdued and weak. Not so for Live on the Other Side where the vocals were strong and energetic, and the band sounded more cohesive. Sound quality is very good as well. Very happy I purchased it. If your a Korn fan you won't be disappointed.

To be honest when I watched this I was mad. Don't get me wrong Korn is an awesome band and it shows them live which is great. Although I went to see them on their latest tour and they put on one of the best stage shows I have ever seen, they had people in costume the lights everything. I bought this dvd hoping that it would be of them live using this stage show. I was dead wrong. It was before they started their tour and just put on an OK stage show. This wasn't what I was hoping for at all.

wie schon der vorgänger geschrieben hat, ist dies kein Vergleich zur ersten DVD Live at Hammerstein!Live on the other Side im Ballroom New York ist vom Klang her einmalig, mit Dolby Digital und DTS unterstützung genau das richtige für einen chilligen Rock Abend daheim!Jonathan ist auch mal besser drauf und bezieht das Publikum in seine Show mit ein!wie ich finde, super Playlist, Jukebox Funktion, geile Audio spur und genau das richtige für jeden Korn FanKAUFEN!

Korn sind die ur-väter des nuMetal zwar haben sie den NuMetal bereits auf der letzten Platte komplett über bord geworfen jedoch besteht 90% ihrer set-list noch aus den alten songs auch wenn sich neurere songs dazugemischt haben die aber allesamt genial sind und einmal mehr beweisen das auch Live Korn zum besten gehört.Aufgenommen wurde dieses super Konzert im Hammerstein Ballroom in New York wo sie schon zur untouchables tour (damals noch mit head) ihre dvd (Live @ hammerstein) aufnahmen nur mit dem kleinen unterschied das der sound mir diesmal etwas besser gefällt.Die Set-List selber lässt keine wünsche übrig denn egal ob Blind vom Debut album oder Y'all want a single von TALITM Album alle songs rocken nicht nur die fans sondern auch den zuschauer.Aber auch die songs des letzten Albums "See you on the other side" kommen mit "Twisted Transistor,Coming Undone,liar und Hypocrites" nicht zu kurz aber auch das metallica cover "one" gibt es auch wieder zu hören wobei man dies hier nur in der kurz version spielt sprich man sich nur den heftigen Double-Bass part spielt und dann sofort wieder abbricht.Aber auch der Pink floyd evergreen Another Brick in the wall wird abgefeiert und rockt auch sehr schön.Daneben darf man in der bonus sektion sich einwenig hinter den kulissen umschauen und viele tourtechniker kommen zu wort und erzählen aus ihrem leben auf tour mit korn dann darf man noch einen jam von falling away from me bestaunen und das video zu coming undone das aufjedenfall ein blick wert ist.Also ich kann nur sagen greift alle zu denn da kann man jix falsch machen und der preis stimmt auch und egal was man von korn auf den letzten platten gehört hat, so wird hier die angekratzte korn seele definitiv rehabilitiert.
