Excellent value
It's been almost a week since I got the amp, and I'm using it for Bose 201 (series V) speakers. It's around 1.5 ft. wide and nearly 1ft deep and around 4 inch height. So, it is not very compact. Build is good, strong enough. Looks OK. It has got rubber feet in the corners which is good. I tried out several things so far, but not all. So far, everything I tried worked as described/expected - AMP (for TV/laptop connected via RCA 2-1 cable), Bluetooth, FM radio and AUX (again for TV/laptop connected 3.5 mm 1-1 cable). There are knobs to control bass and treble. Overall operation is easy; just needs a bit of time to familiarize. And there is a cute remote. However, it works only for one particular source - FM/USB - under which there are FM radio, Bluetooth and AUX. It does not work for the source AMP, which is not a defect in the product, but a known limitation by design. Sound output is good; it perhaps depends on the speakers too, so I'm not sure how much responsible an amp is for the good or bad quality of sound. Overall, the product just does the job and does it fairly well too. A few things that can be improved: There is some background noise - it is not zero, but it is not audible from a few feet away and not certainly when playing music. So, practically, that is not a real issue. A knob to control mid-range too would be good. Some additional attention may be paid to the finishing of the product which can take it to a different level. For example, one of the knobs is a bit tight, which could be made smooth. Warning: FM radio volume is too much, in the sense that just turning a little bit from the zero level gives a lot of volume. One needs to be careful about the volume level when switching from Bluetooth (or other modes) to FM radio, because what may be normal volume level in Bluetooth mode would be too high in FM radio, so there would be a sudden jump in the volume level. If possible, this should be rectified. Overall, it's excellent value. I don't think I saw any other amp that has as many features as this one in the price range 4-5K. Other brands like Yamaha are much more expensive. But, I haven't used any other amp from brands like Yamaha, so I don't know how this compares to them, especially in terms of sound quality. And the seller is excellent in responding to questions before and after purchase, which gives one confidence about the purchase. Update: The issue I mentioned above in the Warning turns out to be a pretty non-ignorable one. Let's say I'm using the amp in bluetooth mode, playing music at "normal" volume level. Then, let's say power goes off. Once power comes back, the amp will start automatically in the FM radio mode because that is the first mode when FM/USB source is on. Then, as I said above, what is normal volume level for bluetooth mode becomes too high for FM radio, so one would hear very loud sound. I experienced the issue on a couple of occasions so far. Fortunately, I was at home (rather than going out when power was gone), so I could immediately reduce the volume, etc. But what if you went out after power was gone and power comes back before you did!! So, now I've sort of made it a habit to keep the volume on the amp at zero whenever power goes off, or when switching the modes. That's obviously not a convenient thing, and one may forget at times. So, the issue should be fixed in the product rather than the user finding ways of working around. Update: I've noticed recently that there is a kind of beep sound that keeps coming when the amp is in Bluetooth mode. This continuous beep-like sound is in addition to the background noise. The beep sound can be more clearly heard when the player starts playing a music/song file but the music/song hasn't yet started, or after the music/song has ended. The beep sound is generally lost (unnoticed) when music is being played, except in some simple instrumental music (say only flute) being played in a calm environment, like early morning. The beep sound seems to go away after a while after the music/song completed. If one is very critical about noise, they need to be aware of this. Update: It's over 1.5 years now since I started using this amp, and there have been absolutely no issues during this period (other than those I had noted earlier above, some of which seems to have even been fixed in the latest versions). I'm now using it to drive Polk S20. And the seller is as promptly responsive as ever.

Wow Amplifier / MUSIC ENGINE... Best suited for enjoying songs..!!!
People very eager to see the amplifier feedback, please jump to the last section "Final Judgement" Taking decision to buy: I have a Thomson speakers, which I used during my school days. Shared photos to the seller and confirmed this amplifier VD-99 can be used and placed order.. The wait will give its worth: I waited for more than 10 days after ordering to receive the product in hand. On lifting it for first time the box felt heavy which give us the first satisfaction that we ordered some thing really worth it. But there was a minor sound coming from box, which made to worry a bit of some thing is damaged..!!! Packing: With fear of have to wait again for 10 more days for reaplacement opened the carton box.. Wow there was another box inside.. And inside that box the Amplifier was well packed with minimal thermocol packing, which is sufficient to protect the amplifier.. First look: * The first sight will go to the big volume knob, which is operated in smooth steps.. And it also has a lines design in Matt finish, which is not a finger print magnet.. * The other small knobs matches the big volume knob theme.. But it operates in bit sharp steps.. * The source selection switches are nicely placed (didn't used till date, as I mostly use USB) * A minimalist display which has 4 digit display looks decent.. It good this amplifier does not have the regular MP3 player module, which was seen in most of the amplifiers... * The mic plug/socket adds a premium touch and competes the overall look of the amplifier.. * The amplifier body is made of strong metal cabinet and operating controls are of good plastic quality.. But the master of this amp, the power switch is very small (a little smaller than the finger tip). It feels strong, robust but feels small.. This is one component which can be considered for upgrade with a border switch which also will enhance amplifier look.. Oh one speaker only works: Connected my Thomson speakers which I used in my school days.. POWERED ON and played a song.. I could hear only 1 speaker getting sound... And could later figure out the balance was adjusted to one side.. Yes it has balance.. Made it in middle and both speaker started to work.... BOOMING BASS and confusing vocals: The initial sound experience was not as expected, it has a booming bass and the vocal are not clear.. Really thought few moment to return it.. Issue resolved in a moment: As I had a nice conversation earlier with the seller Ketan before buying, thought to check with him first.. He listened the issue and suggested 2 remedies 1. He identified that both speakers are operating inversly, so it cancelling the sound produced. So inverted one speaker terminal.. And as suggested by Ketan I powered one speaker only first and then when second one added the effects is improved. 2. He suggested to relocate the speakers and keep it bit away from wall.. Did the same and saw the magic.. Wow the first music experience itself was impressive.. Final judgement: This is not a Home Theater, but a wonderful MUSIC ENGINE... The first thing you need to do is to find a optimal bass and treble adjustment for your speakers.. Your are all set to enjoy music.. Slightly tweek bass and treble up/down based on the songs, you will love the music from this box.. Even I have heard so many back ground sounds which I never heard or notice for years... This amp is capable of producing every detail in a song... NICELY DESIGNED CIRCUIT takes the credit.. Have a very good stereo channel separation.. 5.1 and 7.1 etc might feel good for movie watching.. But for listening songs stereo is best..!!! Good for listening songs in low volume.. I never turned the volume above 30% which is adequate for a study room of 50 sq.ft. USB: USB get scanned quick and play back starts very quick. During power cut, the songs resumes. Bluetooth: Connects very fast with mobile devices and very stable. Display: It displays songs number when songs changes. While playing you will get a 4 digit number. First it was bit confusing.. Later made it out that first 2 digit is minutes and last 2 digit are seconds.. A separator ":" is missing, which is fine. Heat Sink: Is it a heat sink or cold sink..!!! I never felt it hot even playing music for hours.. Remote: We get the VIRE MP3 module remote which serves the purpose.. Areas that can be improved: * Master power switch * Very minor sound while powering on (don't worry, really it is very less and many may not notice) Note: I am following up comments provided for this amp for months before ordering and I could see those comments are addressed in the amplifier I got (like the bright LED light replaced with a mild green LED). That's why added areas to improve... Thanks for reading my review (story) about the amplifier...

Does what it promises well. I had one set of panasonic music system speakers and another set of Dayton book shelf speakers lying unused as their respective players/amplifiers were dead. I hooked them to this amp and they work fine. I am mainly using the arrangement to play the built in FM radio in the mornings and also to stream a few songs on bluetooth from my phone. I am happy with the result. Pros 1. Simple straightforward operation, connect your speakers - red wire to the red speaker jack and black to black, power on and you are good to go. Simple bass, treble, balance knobs together with a big volume dial. bluetooth connection is easy 2. Output volume is very high, I dont have to turn up the volume even 1/4th to fill my 300 sq ft room with FM 3. Output is distortion free, depends on speaker quality as well 4. Looks nice 5. Offers karaoke, usb connection and aux connection options as well - I havent tried those Cons 1. Price may be a little high as cheaper alternatives are available. International budget brands like Pyle are also in this price range. 2. There is no way to store FM stations in memory. They have to be tuned every time. 3. Quality of the buttons and display is not good. Cost cutting or poor design may be the reason. 4. Bluetooth range is very limited - 100 feet max. dont expect to stream from phone kept in another room Overall: Its a nice basic amplifier to power upto 4 book shelf speakers - 4.5 to 6 inch size speakers for home use. Don't connect any bigger speakers like those used by professionals - DJs etc. Also this is not for home theater type arrangement - 2.1 or 5.1 systems. Other things like radio, bluetooth remote are add ons. Dont expect design and finish quality like branded amplifiers. It gets the job done. Simple Buy it for the sound quality.

Worthless
I Bought it on august 2020. within the first 6 months the radio, bluetooth aux function died. The button does not respond at all. I was using it with the rear aux. Now even that's bad. The only time it works well is when you keep pressing the button, else just one speaker works at a time. Complete waste of money

A great amplifier for a great listening experience
VD99 is a great amplifier for a great listening experience if you want to revive your old speakers which are lying around! Let me start by saying that this is the best you can get for your money spent. A little prologue now, I was looking for a good amp for my 20 year old Videocon speakers from my high school days since the original cassette Deck that it was a part of was malfunctioning. I did a lot of search and shortlisted 3 amps: 1. Yamaha R-S202 stereo amplifier 2. Sound king SK 9000 3. VD99 And you know that the final shortlisted candidate was VD99. The reason i shortlisted VD99 was that the reviews were great and it was not burning a hole in my pocket like Yamaha (though it's a great option) at 1/4 price. SK 9000 was out since VD99 have an option of RCA out which gave am opportunity to connect my old subwoofer from F&D 6000U 5.1 system from batchelor days. The best part is that Ketan from 4D furnishers is very approachable and is always connected via whatsapp/call if needed. He gave me a brilliant idea which helped me convert my 2.1 setup to a 5.1 for a great movie watching experience. He suggested that i connect and use my center and rear channel speakers from F&D along with the VD99. This setup is working great & the sound is completely in sync. Thanks Ketan! Now on the sound: 1. I use the amp mode majorly to listen to music since i find it the best and that too without sub since it gives me true listening experience via my large Videocon speakers with 6 inch woofers and 3 inch tweeters. The sound is simply superb! 2. I use the 5.1 setup for movie/series watching and again the sound is awesome! Overall the experience has been truly awesome! And BTW, the amp has few more functions along with remote: 1. Bluetooth with different sound modes 2. Radio 3. Mic input I'm really happy i made this purchase & thanks to Ketan for all the help!

Ok amplifier at that price point.
I have been using the Amplifier for couple of days now and below is my honest feedback. +VE: 1) Connectivity with my Sony bookshelf speakers. 2) Balanced sound output. You will not have to increase the volume beyond 25% -VE: 1) On first 2 notches of the volume control, right side speaker does not fire up. Only from 3rd notch, right one produces sound. 2) The moment you switch to Bluetooth mode, there is a high pitch squeal from the speakers. That disturbs when there is a silent passage in the song or during the silence between the songs. You can reduce it by reducing the treble, but you end up loosing the treble in the song. This seems to be a design defect since the manufacturer told me all sorts of setting to minimize the noise and also suggested me to buy a Bluetooth dongle from Amazon. He went to the extent of saying "Initially this amplifier was not with bluetooth but we added this extra feature without charging for it.". The "Free" aspect should have been called out on the detail page to be transparent. 3) Some USBs don't get recognized even though they work on laptops and other USB readers. 2 GB USB does not work where as 16 GB works, so it has nothing to do with the capacity. 4) Remote control only works with FM/USB/BT mode, but not with TV/DVD mode. So, you cannot control the volume from remote when watching a movie. 5) Push buttons on the amplifier wobble too much and you get a feeling that they are very lose. This amplifier might be a good choice if you want a good sound output. But, not an ideal companion for the home theater where you need the flexibility of volume control on the remote or for Bluetooth connectivity. But, at that price, we might be expecting too much, not sure.

Excellent amplifier
I have a non working Sony LBT-ZX10D system with monster speakers lying unused for almost two years. I was planning to buy another Sony product and was checking various other options online. Then I accidentally found this amplifier on Amazon. After comparing many other options, I decided to go with this amplifier and ordered after checking with the seller on WhatsApp if my speakers are compatible or not. Mr. Ketan Sethi has confirmed that I can buy this product and connect to my 4 speakers. I placed my order immediately and received it within 4 days. The package was neatly packed and perfectly protected. The set-up was easy and I connected only to my front speakers for now as shown in the picture. I was doubtful before ordering as to the audio output compared to my Sony HiFi system. But to my surprise, the audio quality sounded even better than the original system itself. The karaoke and Bluetooth worked like magic without an issue and I am more than happy to have bought this amplifier. The remote is tiny but does it's job efficiently. I'm mostly using my Amazon music app and the Bluetooth connectivity is working fine up to 15 to 20 feet comfortably. Sing along was fun using two mic connections. Pros: 1. Superb audio quality without any noise even at higher volume. 2. Crisp and clear sound even at low volume. 3. Good design but could have done better with a bit of modern look. Cons: None so far but will update after few months if I find anything. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend to those who have powerful speakers with dead music systems which are impossible to get repaired.
