This product is extraordinarily well-designed and easy to install, especially adjustment. The material is thick steel and very sturdy as is the attachment hardware. Other mounts are good for typically 25 lbs. +/-; this will hold a multiple of that. Even if your projector is light, this mount will be more stable. Also notable is that the arms will accommodate projectors with screw holes that are 14" apart, good for larger projectors. The arms also allow you to orient the projector off-center to the mount, which is handy if the stud you are attaching to is not centered relative to the room/screen. I'd recommend this mount even for a flat ceiling as you can route your cables through the opening where the mount pivots. There's multiple screws for each adjustment for both precision and rigidity. Note that they use a specialty Allen screws with pins in the center (anti-theft), so you don't want to lose it nor try to use a regular Allen wrench for install. It's a breeze getting the projector onto the installed mount, even with a heavy projector. Suggest using a socket set or wrench to tighten instead of the Phillips head screwdriver option and drill the pilot holes undersized by 1/32"-3/64". Their down tubes are economically priced relative to what you'd pay for pipe from a home improvement store. Be aware that due to geometry, you'll get a larger image on your screen and less distortion from top to bottom the lower you mount the projector more closely relative to the center line of the screen.

Installed on a wood ceiling with 30 degres slope like a charm. The quality of construction is stunning for the price (I had bought much more expensive material 10yrs ago not as good). Possibilities of adjustment should work for any projector, it could easily fit my large Sony.

Love this for cathedral ceilings

Had it for my epson 5040ub and worked great. And then I upgraded to a jvc rs540u and is currently being used for that projector. Highly recommend this.

This is a quality product, but it wasn’t stable enough for my application. I have a JVC RS2000 which is 44 lbs. It’s within weight spec but it would allow oscillation when somebody would walk in the room or would even shift in our chairs. For heavier projectors, pay up for the Chief.

It was easy to mount it, very nice manual. Screws were not long enough to connect the projector to this mounting kit, so I just purchased longer one in home depot. Very easy to set the needed angle.

A lot of options that can satisfy most of the custom needs.

It is be used for a golf simulator mount.

Well - while the mount looks and feels sturdy - I can surely admit that - there are certain design flaws which if corrected can turn this mount from good to great. Here they are: 1) The screws that are used to lock the part that is attached to the projector and the part attached to the ceiling have heads that are too wide and can not pass through the quick mounting holes. I had to grind them down in order to make the quick mount / dismount work! 2) The supplied concrete ceiling mount plugs (ankers) are made of extremely weak material. As a result the thread breaks the first ones screws the nuts onto it! I did replace these with a heavy duty plugs from Fisher. 3) The black washers used on the 2 screws that determine the mounting angle to the ceiling are also extremely weak - they broke on the first tightening and I replaced them with Teflon washers. Apart from the above flaws thsi mount is excellent and really looks it can withstand up to 70 pounds of load. I personally used it for mounting JVC DLA-RS440(X5900) which is a 34 pound beast.
