Spiritual reading
Excellent book which separates spiritual thought and practice from religion.

Excellent book with mind blowing explanations
Only one word could describe this book and ie it's 'Fantastic'. I wanna thank Dr Deepak Chopra a million times, for writing this book. It's like, all the answers to my doubts and questions were written in this book... I was in search of such a book since ages.

Life Changing Book!
I have read many of Deepak's books and believe this to be his best. The book is a permanent part of my collection and I have reread the book several times. Deepak covers a lot of ground including quantum physics, mind/consciousness, evolution and does so in an understandable manner. This book was a life changer for me personally and highly recommend the book.

Excellent book, great service
I had read this as a library book before on assignment in Canada as a guest worker some years back. This could not be found in the States so I went with Amazon's British supplier. The books got here in fine order a week before it was due to arrive. The main point of the book was to show how simple elementary school relations between two little boys morphed with time into world conflict. What a great film this would make, not as a documentary but as a discourse on human character and the inherent risks for good or evil of childhood upbringing. Robert Downey Jr. IMO would make the ideal Wittgenstein and the excellent Christopher Waltz as Schicklgruber (or rather Heidler, if you prefer: either is correct by hospital records and baptismal registry as recorded at the US Army Military History Institute archives ).

Great perspective from Deepak
I have loved Deepak's work ever since I read Ageless Body, Timeless Mind back in 1999. He brings amazing insights, science, perspective and intelligent frameworks to a very challenging and silky subject. His main idea is that there are 7 stages or levels to spiritual evolution. I could definitely relate to how these levels progressed and where i personally sat at and had moved over the years. I also liked the integration of neuroscience, theology and quantum physics into his theory. It was very well constructed and made a lot of sense. It also gave you an idea of how you might deepen your own spiritual 'advancement'. Where you might need to move through a block, or gain a deeper level of consciousness to continue evolving in a great er way.So definitely worth a read and definitely worth a read if you are working on building up within all areas of the MIND-BODY-SPIRIT field. I am all about doing the workout (and work) in each of those areas of our lives and this is a great resource to help with that. The only thing I was a little disappointed with was the HUGE amount of punctuation and grammatical errors in the Kindle version. It was not just a few, but 30-40+. This is not really acceptable. As an author myself, we owe it to our readers to give them 100% of what we have. That aside. I still highly recommend this book and Deepak's work.

Take it slowly and only if you're ready for it.
... I'm now part of a group which is actively studying the book a bit at a time and I can't believe all that there is here. The first thing to realize is that Chopra doesn't claim that he's going to present some great Truth to you. You don't get the Truth from a book or another person. You get it from yourself. All that Chopra can do and hopes to do is to so stimulate you to find it yourself. The next thing to realize is that the seven stages that he presents are not necessarily progressive, but merely stages to identify with, presented so that you will recognize what stage you are at so that you will be in a better position to realize how to relate with God at that stage. And then, opening yourself up to what is presented rather than just reading this is important. ... Krishnamurti is one of several writers Chopra suggests that you read, as well as Hawking, Zukav, Yogananda, the Maharishi, Ken Wilber, among others (This is in the notes at the end of the book.Another says there's too much Biblical reference. Most western readers are more familiar with the Bible than with any other writing considered by many to be "sacred". You'll also find many Vedic references here.... This isn't a book on physics, but on spirituality, so if his physics don't seem right to you, little is missed unless you center on points of disagreement.... One's mind can accept only a certain amount at a time, and if you overdo what you're taking in, you'll fall asleep or just lose attention....It's not necessary to agree on each point Chopra brings up to gain from this book. Heck, it's not even necessary to agree with most of what he says. It is necessary, if you truly wish to gain something useful from this book, to keep your mind open and let him state his case, because there are bound to be elements useful to you among those not so.The bottom line is that the non-resistant reader who takes this book slowly, re-reading when you miss a point, will be stimulated into his own personal search, and this is what Chopra intends. Not to brainwash you. But to get you to search within. If you buy this book and are disappointed in your first reading, then put it aside, but where you'll notice it sometimes, then come back in a week, or a month, or a year, and let the person you've become in that period of time read it.

His best, hands down
All of Deepak Chopra's books have something priceless in them, making them gifts, although they're for sale. But How to Know God in my opinion is his best. I don't understand why this book is no longer easily available in hardcover - but buy it in paperback while you can; better, buy several copies, for friends as well as yourself. This is a work of extraordinary genius, and unique in modern spiritual literature. This book isn't like his others, and it isn't a substitute for any of them. It hasn't processes, exercises or advice (per se). This gift is unique in that it describes, in overview mode, a human being's spiritual evolution with spot-on accuracy. If you have a strong taste for truth, you will cognite on where you are currently, where you've been, and where you're heading. If you don't find the material extraordinarily revealing, I suggest that you put the book aside and come back to it. It is easy to read, too, but one reading will not be enough; I am still uncovering layers of meaning (in myself), and I've read it many times. It's very difficult to write a review for this book that does it justice; I've tried and then deleted the attempts. This review represents another try.
