Acura NSX: Honda's Supercar Hardcover – January 21, 2006

the nsx is in the foremost the greatest sports car to come out of japan. nsx to skyline gt-r is like maclaren f1 to bugatti veyron. and this book is perhaps the best out there on this legendary car. i'm a fan of author brian long; he has a huge list of automotive books to his credit, the ones about japanese cars are unrivaled by any from any publisher. his standard formula consists of a brief history of the manufacturer, the story of the car's development from before the beginning to end, detailed evolution of the car to as recent as publishing date, a (sometimes more than) healthy amount of original press material and brochures, and sometimes a blurb about racing. i'm a huge fan of the way he typically lays out his books, tho i can understand some people would think reprinting the brochures is superfluous. the bottom line is, brian long is pretty much the only writer out there who gets deep w/ the japanese manufacturers, executives, and engineers about the subjects of his book. his books may not be as artistically beautiful as, say, those from coterie press, but they are lightyears better than most car books which are usually photographs and garbage writing. that said, he's also not overly technical (paul frere's book on the 911 is pretty much the most technically packed car book i've seen). this particular book, being on the nsx, is slightly bigger physically than usual and follows the formula i mentioned pretty well. if you're a fan of the nsx and want both technical and developmental details as well as color photographs to feast your eyes on, this is pretty much the only one that can satisfy

My nephew always wanted a coffeetable book on his favorite car the NSX, but couldn't find one. I got him this one and he's totally satisfied with it thinking at first it was just photos until he opened it and noticed how detailed it was. He's big on info and specs and says this book has it all from concept to production of every genation to the future of the NSX. He's a 'debater' type person and now has an informative official book to back-up his bragging debates about the NSX even though it'll be years before he can afford to own one. THAT'S WHY I GAVE IT 4 STARS BECAUSE IT'S NOT MY BOOK OR MY INTREST.

This is a must have book for all NSX fans. Great pictures and a easy read. Short on engineering and technicals, but I think the author was writing a coffee table book and not an indepth manual with a hard cover. I'm glad that I have mine.

Lacks true technical information about the car, it's manufacturing techniques, and other detailed information. It's definitely the Rodney Dangerfield of the automotive world. It just gets "No Respect."

Known as the Coffee Table Book.Great NSX resource. The price of the book has been escalating in price.

Nothing you haven't already read in the fancy brochures. Not enough detail, no new insights into the engineering behind this excellent machine

Hi!, If the NSX is lke me a dreamcar since childhood, then this book is the the icing on the cake for us. Full of pertinent infos from the beginning of the project to it's conclusion after nearly twenty years. Beautiful pictures and unheard before stories. No doubdt, you must own it!And first class treatment from Amazon.
