The Couple's Tao Te Ching: Ancient Advice for Modern Lovers

I have been looking everywhere for simple, true, and beautiful things written about love and how it is supposed to be. This book is exactly what I was looking for. It is an easy read, but the words, phrases, are written with such deep emotion. Having felt love, makes this book so rewarding. It is so heartwarming to read something that you relate to, and it also nice to read and be awakened as to how you may have made little mistakes by not being true to love. You can read a little each day, one meditation before bed, one when you wake up. It's all a great reminder as to what real love is and it helps keep your love in perspective.

I ordered this book as a result of reviews that I had read, and my Beloved and I are grateful that I ordered it. Along with "The More We Find In Each Other: Meditations For Couples" (Hazelden Meditations), we read a passage from this book every day. In the simplicity of the Tao, there is so much practical wisdom to be applied to life, and in this book, specifically to a love relationship with a significant other. Reading passages from these two books has become a ritual in our relationship, and reading these passages has become a valuable priority and ritual.

Each page, simply written and quickly readable, has a profound impact. This books is an incredible gift to any relationship - I recommend partners read one page together each day and embrace the lesson throughout the day.

The book itself has some valuable lessons and is beautifully written. Great for those couples who have been together for some time and want it to stay that way. However, my book came all torn up. Even the cover page was all ripped. Some pages inside were folded. I know it wasn't the sellers fault, Amazon has to do better to protect books they ship and package. As an amazon worker, I've seen so many books get damaged and torn and are sent in that condition. Who in their right mind thinks its okay to send to a customer??! Can't even bother for a replacement because it will end up the same way.

I loved the simplicity of this book. Very clearly laid out reflections. It was easy to read and relate to it.

A great adaptation of the Tao for use by couples of all ages. :) I like the way the author has taken the heart of each verse and sculpted it in a way that lovers can apply to their relationship. I've been a fan of the Tao for decades, and find great wisdom in all its forms :)

I love all of Mr. Martin's brilliant books, and I give them as gifts to new parents, newly married couples, milestone mid-life birthdays, and for caregivers. Each book is to be read again and again, and this one is no exception. I have a hard copy on my shelf and a copy on my Kindle to look at whenever I need a boost in awareness. Thank you, Mr. Martin!

Great book, easy reading, and very well written for all the hopeless romantics. You can pick up from wherever you left off, read alone or with your partner. Very refreshing
