Cheatwell Games - DVD Race Night 4

My party theme was "A Ladies Afternoon at the Races". The guests were asked to dress up as English ladies including a dress, heels, and hat. We started with Pimm's cocktails and English style sandwiches. After some refreshments the races began. What fun! Only downside is there is enough money for 10 guests and it gets a bit hectic if the hostess is also the one who takes the bets. The party was voted by the guests as the best party of the year.

I used this game during a recent Casino party we had and it was a big hit. The races are exciting and people were actually up on their feet screaming just like they were at the races. I actually played this on a huge projection screen. The downside is that all the horse info is on the DVD so I had to make up paper programs myself for it, but I still would recommend it.

Dvd's are pretty grainy, was hoping to use for a gaming night for a large fundraiser, but I don't think the quality is there.

Lot of money for DVD of old horse races. No program, money all in pounds and only one amount. I would return if I hadn't torn the plastic on the box. Good for kids but not adults

Came on time. Had fun with the family.

I bought this for playing after a dinner party. It was good fun and had everyone cheering on their horses to the finish line. I familiarised myself with the game play the day before and put the money into individual envelopes with the players names on so we could get straight on and play. It was easy to set up and play although reading the form of each horse onscreen was tiring and long winded and so scrapped that after the first race and placed bets based on names and odds which made the game flow better and enabled us to play more races. Highly recommended!

we had fun playing this race game, only did five of the 16 races so will be able to use again. I only gave 4* because the small game cards were very difficult to write on and the ink just rubbed off. I copied the 12 cards (enlarged slightly) on to paper and found this much better. Because there were so many of us there wasn't enough of the smaller value notes to share out but this didn't deter us and we all said we would play again. a good buy.

This game has kept our family highly amused on two separate occasions. We played eight of the races on one night and the remainder on another night. The instructions were easy to understand and the DVD simple to use. The room became very noisy and everyone playing (age range from 13 to 72 years) thoroughly enjoyed the events. What a fantastic way to spend the evening. We gave a prize to the punter with the most money left at the end of the evening.
