Excellent quality lightweight trap!
I have not fished this trap yet, but I can say I was pleased with the quality of the trap when I first inspected it. Everything lines up as it should, and doors work as designed.I was not sure if this trap met the qualifications of Washington State crab pot laws at the time of purchase, but once I got it, I determined that it does meet all regulations for crabbing directly from the manufacturer. The escape holes are 4.25 inches, in the upper half of the trap; there is regulation rot cord provided for holding the main door shut, and there is a larger opening that is sewn shut with rot cord.This comes with the sinking rope, harness, bouy, and bait bag. All you need it bait and it is ready to fish. I ordered aluminum dog tags with my name and address on them to attach to the bouy to meet that regulation.Being a lightweight trap, drifting with the current is a real concern. This trap may require weights for fishing in areas with significant tidal currents. I plan to try it out without weights first then add if needed.
