A Catholic Woman's Book of Days

To be clear up front, this review is for the Kindle edition of the book. I bought this for my wife as she was looking for a good daily devotional for Catholic moms. This seems to fill the bill nicely. She is enjoying the book immensely, though it took a while for us to get started. You see, this book has absolutely no Table of Contents on the Kindle edition. Even worse, the date titles (e.g. July 2) are all images within the book so they cannot be searched. It took about five minutes to find the current date by trial and error and specifying locations within the Kindle. While the book is while written and really speaks to her as a Catholic Mom, the publishers did an embarrassingly terrible job with the ebook formatting for the Kindle. Four stars for the book, one star for the Kindle formatting.

This is well written and it has real life application and biblical verses. It’s a keeper! My concern is the paperback binding it’s not going to hold up. It needs a fake leather padded cover.

Although I liked the brevity of each days’ reflection, I didn’t find most of them to be particularly inspiring enough to give much thought to. I could see the appeal for other folks, this just wasn’t for me.

This book was just what I was looking for. I needed something quick to start my day, but good enough it would give me something to think about. I recommend this for any woman, not just Catholics, trying to find something deeper with God.

Love Amy Welborn's thoughts and writings. Each day's thought is only a page or less so easy to fit into your day. Some of the writings are really nice but a lot of them are very thought provoking. Very down to earth and applicable to the ordinary person. Very calming readings. Would definately recommend for a woman of any age.

I have just started this devotional, but I truly love it! I love her short little stories and her short prayer at the end. I want to pray the prayers for myself. I totally recommend the book.

I've been using this product for several months and love it. I ordered this 2nd copy for my daughter. I left the cellophone wrapping on the book and gave it to her so I didn't actually examine the condition of the book but it appeared to be in excellent condition. The writing is easy for a Western woman to relate to. I enjoy Amy Welborn's work in Living Faith magazine as well. Service was very good. Thank you.

A wonderful book of daily devotions and prayers that provide plenty of food for thought and reflection. The appeal is it's simplicity and honestly.

I really like the way this is written. A little bit of scripture, and a fun anecdote or take on the passage. Always uplifting and never takes more than a minute or two. It's nice that it's not dated year specific so you can use this book year after year if you like.

Amy makes it very easy to read and understand.It begins with a verse from the bibleand then she uses everyday experiencesto explain the biblical verse andends with a prayer. Powerful in its simplicity.
