The media could not be loaded.  This is now the third Sonic Toothbrush in our family. I have one and so do each of my grand children. To make things easy each of them is different so we do not muddle up which is whose. This one has a two pin contact charger with a magnetised charging base and magnets in the bottom of the toothbrush handle, these are arranged such that the brush will only go onto the base the right way round. I like this arrangement as it is really easy to use and there is no chance of damage caused by a wrong connection. The charging base has a USB micro B socket so apart from the supplied charging lead most households will have plenty of spare ones.The brush is also easy to use and the instructions contain some useful brushing tips. The 30 second timer with a pause at the end and the auto stop after two minutes do really help with giving all your teeth equal treatment. If you have not used a sonic brush before you might do well to start with the gentle mode, Touching the back of the brush on your teeth gives you a bit of a start but you soon get used to it and also used to avoiding doing it.Dentists claim that the Oral B 'rotary' type of brush is better, all I can say is that my teeth feel just as clean after using a sonic brush and they are more gentle on your gums. Like most electric toothbrushes this one comes with heads that have soft rounded bristles which certainly does help to avoid damage to your teeth and gums while cleaning. You will though still need to floss.This brush is very competitively priced.

Disclaimer: I was invited to test a sample of this product and make recommendations to the company, and feedback on performance. I was not obliged to write anything other than product improvement recommendations.Overall I find this excellent and I have a few recommendations.The service from this company was first class and the stock located in the UK warehouse reached me within a couple of days by normal post. Packaging is simple and with minimal plastic. The pack is much lighter than I expected. Mostly recyclable card. This is a nice simple box which would make a pretty gift box. Excellent approach.The base for the toothbrush is a tiny disc which plugs into the computer or USB socket to charge. This was a surprise but it makes a lot more sense than those two-pin plugs that do not fit any socket in the house. I fitted it to my computer - as with any new phone I would not leave a battery unattended for its first charge. There were no problems. The base is magnetic and the bottom of the brush snaps to it. Great idea. This base is very small and light. Two brush heads are supplied.The charge has lasted a week so far which is longer than my previous toothbrush lasted. I'm pleased with the charge light. As I have had electric toothbrushes before I knew how to use it - a little water on the head, then a little paste, put it in the mouth before pressing start. But I was not used to the sonic buzz! Get used to it and you will be fine. The hum is not too loud and does not hurt, it is pleasant and you do feel it helps vibrate paste around the corners. The buzz cuts off briefly every thirty seconds, stops after four runs. You can start it again if you like.The slim body of the brush looks lovely and feels beautiful in my hand. The button and charge light are inset. I love the shape. Yet, this is a problem also. When anything gets wet it is slippery, and this vibrating wet brush body can easily slide down your grip. I first brought my other hand over to push up the end of the brush. After a few days I adapted to holding further down the stem with my little finger under the end. This seems fine. My previous electric toothbrush had a ridged grip on the stem.I would recommend to counter this issue, especially for owners who do not have good grip or good sensitivity in their fingers. The maker could include a separate wide rubber band with bumps or ridges on it to provide grip. The owner could choose to push this onto the stem of the brush or not. This would not look or feel as good so I would not always put it on the stem.Also, owners need to be aware that the brush heads are not the same fitting across different makes and you should check that you can buy a supply of spare brush heads from the same make. Usually one will last a couple of months and we should change toothbrush / brush head every few months for good hygiene. An advantage is if you can get different shapes. I am very pleased with the standard one supplied which is not too large.Overall it's a great product and cleans my teeth very well. As the brush is electronic it is recyclable when it reaches end of life. The USB charging is practical and easy.If I experience any issues in a short space of time I will revisit this review.This is an unbiased review.

This electric toothbrush came nicely packaged and complete with two heads (with plastic protective covers) and magnetic USB charger.It charged quickly (3.5 hours stated) and is said to last for up to 60 days at 2 uses per day.It has an On/Off switch and 3 different settings on the front of the main body – Sensitive, Clean and Massage.The recommended time spent on cleaning teeth is 2 minutes and this brush cleverly divides that time up into 4 segments of 30 seconds with a brief gap in between enabling the user to change position.As a newcomer to electric toothbrushes I would make the point that it is not necessary to move the brush as much as a manual one. I found myself using the same technique instead of letting the electric head do the work. Also, my advice would be not to start the brush with the paste on it until it is actually in the mouth. It took me quite a while to realise this and meant that I tended to lose most of the paste down the sink!This is really a neat electric toothbrush and I have no hesitation in recommending it.SméagolBreakaway Reviewers received this item to review
