These do provide exceptional coverage. I don't know why they make the bands so long... I bought three different sizes of these and had to cut the band on the large and extra large. I think they think your dog is very fat... And, the thing that baffles me is that I have one chow hound who is extremely muscular, not really fat.. but he's very thick in his chest... yet this strap could fit two of him. I cut the strap underneath and then added my own Velcro snap (you can buy them with adhesive, which worked great) that I had purchased at Home Depot or Lowe's (can't remember). It's perfect now. The small one fit perfectly. The extra large fits with the exception of the strap and that dog (Shepard) refused to move when we put it on him. He hates close... but this rain gets them all wet. He's moving now, but I haven't fixed his. His daddy has tied it up in a bow or something. I did order a medium for the large dog... hasn't gotten here yet... but I'm determined to keep them from dragging water into the house as I snatch these as soon as they hit the door... keeps them dry.

arrived just in time for a rainy trick or treat, came soon than expected. did slip around the whole time and didn't realize until later there are small elastic bands to put dogs feet through to keep in place.there is a hole to put the leash through to clip to the collar, the stitching around this whole has came unravelled, but we do plan on sewing back together.

Beautiful turquoise color. Great coverage. Love how the elastic straps for the back legs keep the raincoat from blowing forward on windy days. Unfortunately, the leash hole ripped when I tried to attach my dogs leash.

My dog was a little hesitant and wouldn’t walk at first but she got used to it and it prevents the awful wet dog smell when it rain on is on a walk. I bought one for my other dog. The only thing that needs to be improved is the size of the hood. It’s a little snuggle on both my dogs making it a bit of a challenge to gently put it on.

Nice rain jacket but to small for my boy ordered the large but wasn't big enough hes 100 lbs

** UPDATE: I ended up hacking this apart with scissors and a sewing needle to make it at least useable. Amazon issued me a refund because of how bad of shape it was in after minimal use. After making modifications it worked while I awaited a new product in the mail, but there’s no point in spending your money on something you’ll immediately have to repair and modify. **Loved how this looked, so I bought it for my service animal. I thought it was a great product when I opened it, not even having a bad smell like the company warned. I purchased from the actual retailer, not one of the other shops. The hole meant for the lead to go through immediately started to unravel and the seam on both sides are completely undone, after ONLY 2 USES. Will update with pictures. Incredibly upset at the lack of quality of this. Do not buy. Absolutely would not recommend.

LOVE the color. A large fits my dog perfectly. She's a pit/boxer mix (very long) and is about 50lbs. I was worried it wouldn't cover her whole back but it does! She can finally pee without a fight when it's raining!!
