We don't use anything but the trusted brand names when it comes to things like plumbing in our home. This was a perfect replacement and even gave our master bathroom a nice modern update style wise. Highly recommend as you know you are getting a high quality product.

Great valve and lever. We installed 3 of these in our current renovation and would use them again. This type of valve/lever controls tempurature more than water volume, but it looks clean and is very easy for our kids to understand how to control tempurature much better than the old single see-through knob from days of old. The price was great and we couldn't be happier with the finished look. We will likely purchase this again for our next expansion project.

This was an upgrade for a 27 year old shower plumbing. I had to change the old mixer control (that change worked great, easy, no leaks). This part is lower quality. The handle is fine, the base has a lot of points for water ingress - 1) Around the thin frame, and 2) around the sleeve that goes over the mixing valve. The sleeve is not a tight fit and just 'wobbles around' only held in place with a cheap / flimsy foam gasket that won't keep it in place. The mixing valve came with another fixture that screws onto the mixer for some applications (not this one) this fits the sleeve better, providing better support. To use the extra fixture I had to cut off the back plate which interfered with the current application. BUT this allowed the threaded portion to be put on the mixer which provided a better base for the sleeve. I glued the sleeve onto the threaded fixture with GOOP. Now the sleeve doesn't 'Wobble Around'. I also don't like the fact that the sleeve is plastic, as plastic does not stand up to cleaning. But I am happy that I could retrofit my 27 year old shower to a new fixture so easily, so all in all it's not 5 stars, but a solid 4 stars. Bottom line, it works, but not to Kohler's usual 'No Problems' installs.

Hard to find in box stores. Shipping little slow. But part is what I expected.

Have a 10+ year old house and one of the shower valves was acting up. In the process of replacing that, I replaced the trim, as well, and boy was I happy to do so. The old handle trim was just dated and the builders of the home most likely just bought the cheapest Kohler trim you can get. Anyway, swapped it all out and it looks so much better. So happy, that I changed out all the other bathrooms. If you’re going for a little more modern and not break the bank, this is it.

This show trim set works with the older Kohler valve and cap. Easy replace and is all metal. The chrome trim plate and valve handle are metal. All parts were included to easily replace the old.

Kohler quality, handle feels solid and precise in radial movement. Like that its almost mirrored with the polished chrome.

The wall plate has become tarnished, discolored in a matter of months. Was installed in June. Pictures taken in December. Mechanically works fine. Was a bit challenging for the plumber to install as the Kohler valve trim kit he was replacing from 23 years ago used a very different mixer cartridge -- so we had to get new Kohler hardware to make it work.
