The book starts with an introduction to basic concepts of Ayurveda, thus it can be picked up even by readers who are novice to Ayurveda. The book has detailed discussion on mental constitutions and afflictions and their effect on physiology and manifestation of diseases. The simplified analysis and classification of different food items using their acidity profile and effect on mental humors is something unique to this work. Pragmatism has always been the hallmark of Swamiji and this work is no different. It contains umpteen simple practices, lifestyle changes and food habits that can be incorporated into one's life to live healthy. This a gem, a gift to the humanity. It’s very informative and in detailed knowledge is given in this book, not just our physical health but also factors responsible for our emotions and mental afflictions. A must read knowledge for those who do believe in Ayurveda and for those who do not.
Ayurveda is a subject of my keen interest. When Ayurveda is presented with a combination of Yogic knowledge, it offers miraculous results for sure. This is an amazing book and must read book for not only someone who is just curious about Ayurveda and how it works; but also for those who have already knowledge of Ayurveda and still want to know more about it in great detail covering all other important aspects of lifestyle and nature as well. And also for those who has doubt for Ayurveda, for them it is a MUST READ knowledge. This book helps understand the missing links when it comes to health. Every householder keep Analgesic in their cupboard shelf without fail, how about having this book in the family library instead? Every family member must take pain to know this much of information - described in the book for their own physical body, health and Prakriti (Nature). I highly recommend this book! A wholesome guide with a complete new insight to lead a healthy life :) I am thankful to it's author Om Swami for writing this book. This book should come up with a print copy so next time I can give this book as a new year/birthday gift to my beloved one.

A MUST BOOK FOR EVERY ONE WHO CARES FOR GOOD HEALTH AND WELL BEING If I have read any book that is all encompassing & comprehensively holistic on topics of wellness and well being, then it is this book. Swamiji has written this book by his own first hand experience of various aryuvedic, breathing & cleansing techniques. After reading this book , I realized how unmindful I was about my eating habits and due to it's powerful influence, I now remain mindful while eating. The mind cleansing techniques given in this book, has helped me a lot. I have restarted morning prayanams which I had left earlier. Swamiji often says that nature gives us many wakeup calls, but we tend to ignore them. This book was a wake up call for me, I just could not ignore. Vipul

Excellent reference
Very practical and well written. I will go back again to the book and use it as a reference. Points come across easily, very well laid out and is an easy and interesting read. Highly recommend it and also recommend his blog highly.

I know I'm writing the same review for all of Om Swami's books. It's just that I do not have words to describe, not just the content but the impact they have had on my life. His memoir is now my Bible. I worship it. I read His books and his blog posts over and over and each time I discover something new.. about myself. My family and I have gone through a complete transformation since the day we read His books (and the book 'Om Swami as we know Him' by Ismita Tandon and Swami Vidyananda Om). His words have a Divine power that I cannot explain. We call out to Him and he appears in front of us. I feel I have found myself, my true path and I have found God.

I liked this book so much that i'm writing my first Amazon review just to encourage everyone to pick it up. The Wellness Sense a holistic book about achieving perfect mental and physical health, and Om Swami did a great job at explaining difficult topics in simple, straight-forward terms. His tips are practical and easy to apply in our daily lives, you do not have to become a monk to reap the benefits of this book. I highly, highly recommend it to everyone.

Written in very easy language, easy to digest and gives great insight on how, what we eat and how we think influences our well being. It has been really helpful to understand different aspects of individual type, their different natures and how food affects the each trait. Thank you OmSwami for writing such wonderful book to help citizens of the World.

We keep thinking about our physical health, our mental health is slowly becoming our priority (hopefully) but do we even consider our stomach as the most important organ of our body? (After our heart and the brain). This book tells us how our stomach controls almost everything and how an eating sense can give us a wellness sense. The Wellness Sense gives us an Ayurvedic perspective towards our wellness and health. It tells us how food plays a great role in every aspect of our lives, also how our emotional and mental health is extremely important for our physical wellbeing. It has explained everything in utter detail. A number of appendices have been given at the end of the book to give us a small list of what kind of food is the best for us. The title of the book is as witty as the last book I had read by Om Swami. The book describes what the wellness sense and other aspects of the same are. The cover is a beautiful mix of shiny and subtle that gives off the right calm yet catchy vibe. The language of the book is simple to read. Though a lot of Sanskrit words have been used due to the Ayurvedic outlook it has been explained very well. All aspects have been described well. The content of the book is a guide in a nutshell. I was amazed to see so many things being described so well. No useless examples, no self-praising and filled with knowledge. The Ayurveda has been backed up by modern science and this makes the book very different from the other typical wellness books. In the end, I would love to say that I, personally, have got an idea of how my body works. I now know what can be considered to eat and what I can skip on. I loved the part where the author has not prohibited anything. He teaches us about our body and leaves us with many choices. I recommend this book to anyone who is struggling with their health or wants to know more about their body for better functioning.
