Put the purple ones up for upcoming Halloween on our long windows on either side of our front door.....thin copper wire between bulbs..... takes 3 AA batteries.....went with alkaline, considered lithium but they are too $$. Remote must be held fairly close to the battery case but works well........8 different choices for patterns :) I simply hung the battery case from a nail on the top of the window and then used white electrical tape to stretch the copper cable........hopefully one set of batteries will take care of Halloween. Also hung up and old ropelight pumpkin and used a green/orange Fire and Ice kaleidoscopic led light which gives some motion :) Won't be the scariest house on the block, but pleased with this purchase!

These are great. What you are getting in this set is TWO separate 50 LED strings of green lights, with the led's being about matchstick size, on very thing coppery looking wire. Each light string has a controller box (powered by 3 AA batteries) that has 8 pre-set patterns, from chases to steady on. Each string comes with a small remote control that uses a coin battery. You can turn the lights off and on and select a pattern from the attached battery box by cycling through a button, but to dim the lights you need to use the remote control.I used these lights to outline some foam numbers I made, and they worked perfectly. They are bright, and the patterns have a nice selection of patterns from bold flashing to slow fades in and out. The AA batteries have a good lifespan, we had no problems with them lasting three days of intermittent use. These light strings are a great value!

I purchased several sets of these lights through Amazon ~ most of them stopped working by remote and I have had to throw out a few sets because the batteries end up leaking in the case. After what I thought was going to be a great product, I am very disappointed. I was able to purchase a similar product at Walgreens and have been very satisfied. Will never buy this type of product through Amazon again. They only work correctly for a very short time. A total waste of money!!

They are perfect for my needs. However, I turned them on, but they will not turn off. All the other settings work (don’t know about the timer as this came with no directions), but they will not go off. As where I have them would require getting on a ladder to remove the batteries, this is not going to work for me. They are going back. Such a shame & hassle.

I just love these. I saw them at my daughter's and they were just what I needed. I do displays at Christmas and decorate my shelves with Christmas things. I was always using those fake candle lights and trying to run an extension cord, it was a big pain. These run on battery with a remote control and the lights are beautiful. Looks like a bunch if twinkling stars. I also bought the 20 on a string. I read the reviews and am thrilled with them. Really, you're going to love them.

Tiny! They will look great at holiday time where you need just a little...and I mean little (if you spread the strand out in garland) light. Will be okay if put in jars or on small wreaths.

Def will be buying more of these! Such a great price for how handy this is! The fact it came with a remote was a huge plus! It has a bunch of settings for how you prefer the lights to twinkle too!
