Yummy paper!
This is really luscious paper...I use it for handmade journal pages, and it's wonderful. It gives a distinct luxurious effect to the journal signatures, and aside from adding a bit of "aged" coloration to the edges, I leave it alone...it's too lovely to cover with pictures, or even belly bands or pockets. A definite "must have from now on" item!

Paper Lovers' Heaven
This paper is beautiful. It's like watercolor paper but much richer. I made a handmade book with mine. It's very sturdy, both with sewing and with wet media. I was so entranced with it that I had to learn more about the process for making this paper. Khadi Papers' website has a lot of information about how they make the various papers they sell, and it is impressive. I have never had such a strong reaction to paper before, and it seems a little whacky, but that is how I felt when I opened the package. I couldn't stop running my hands over the paper and oohing and aahing over it.

try it. give yourself a treat.
this is rustic and lovely paper with deckled edges. I enjoy the small sizes available in Khadi. It's expensive but worth it. This paper is not 140 lb. so will not take an excess of water or over working. Let it dry between layers if that is how you paint. I love it and am glad I have several sizes of Khadi. I like it for quick loose paintings.

Tricky to paint on
I do like this paper. The texture and the edges look really nice and make your art more attractive. But… it’s kind of hard to work wet on wet technique on this paper. I mostly do wet on wet and use a lot of water and do few layers of washes. This paper doesn’t handle that very well. You can see clumps of paper appear when you do washes, it’s a bit annoying. I think this paper would be great for those who does wet on dry technique and uses very soft brush so you don’t ruin the paper since it’s fragile.
