The Gypsum Construction Handbook (RSMeans)

I work for a drywall subcontractor as an estimator for Multifamily Projects. I've worked in construction for about 7 years and in that short amount of time I've seen countless changes. Whether it be products, project design, or software, technology and the introduction of a new generation of workers is pushing the industry forward at a breakneck pace. Codes and "best practices" are always evolving and handbooks like this are a great reference tool. Unfortunately, the architects responsible for designing the project, in my opinion, are overwhelmed by the advances and do not always spec/detail their projects with the correct materials or assemblies. So having a guide like this handbook gives me the documentation to explain why a certain condition is not ideal or just not appropriate.

Great Handbook. Read the entire book for Virginia Contractors License, Alot to learn.

Pretty much an industry bible, great for research. It is also available online, or at least it was at one point. I like the physical copy myself.

Great book for anyone who worked on a crew for a while in this field. Id recommend working as a helper first before buying this book or it maybe too much to understand.

This is a book published by a drywall manufacturer. It should be free and probably is if you get it through a distributor. It is not an unbiased review of gyp board technique but it does have a lot of information.

If you are involved in construction at any level and utilize gypsum materials, then you absolutely need to have/use this book. Excellent reference source!!!

Alot of info about drywall. Informative book.

Surprising used this one for a handful of questions on the NASCLA exam. It was definately a good buy.

Would give a 5 star review if the print was bigger. Finding hard to read.
