Issues with this product
The warmer is well made, however it has issues. 1) Turning the heater on and off is done by touch sensing on the side of the frame. The directions are simple however I found when trying to the heater on it did not respond and took many tries to get it to work. I am still unclear exactly where to "touch" to get it to work like a normal switch. 2) The heater is advertised as having two heat settings, the instructions do not indicate how to select those settings. 3) To turn the heater off, the instructions say to touch the side for a "few seconds", all well and good except after its been running for awhile the side is very HOT. Anyone with sensitive fingers will resort to unplugging the heater. 4) When the heater is on it is very hot !!! If the heater is placed on a wooden/plastic/painted surface, for example a desk, I suspect it will discolor the surface. The only solution I found is placing the heater on a pad that can absorb and dissipate the heat. 5) The description indicates the heater temperature limit is 40C/104F. The unit itself is MUCH hotter. 6) I would recommend looking at other heaters that are built to insulate the extreme heat that prevents the possibility of burning fingers and/or ruining the surface the heater sits on... I found it strange to incorporate touch-sensing on a unit that gets as hot as it does. This is an application where a conventional switch should have be used !

Works on some surfaces but not all.
When this item arrived, I could not get it to work no matter what I did, and I was ready to send it back as defective. I moved it out of the way by placing it on my windowsill, and miraculously it started working. It still refuses to work on my desk, but works great on the windowsill. I tried it on the linoleum floor, no go. Cardboard box? Yep, that works. When it works it’s great...keeps my coffee HOT. Other types just keep it lukewarm.EDIT 3/2020 I've now had this for less than a year and it seems to have stopped working. When the heater is on "WARM" it has a yellow/orange LED, "HOT" is red. The red LED stopped working right away but the heater worked fine. Now I can't get it to heat up on either setting. Frustrating, as I really liked this product, despite the issues with turning it on and off.

You can tap all over it.
You may get it on and you may not but you can tap yourself silly trying to get something on. I start my water to boiling and by the time it gets fully boiled 5 or 6 minutes I'll usually get some light to come on, to turn it off I just unplug it. I'll get me one with a real button when I get over the price I paid on this one.

Love it!!
I adore my warmer! It's cute, works super well and fits my fat bottomed mugs. It's making lounge time and gaming a lot easier ( first world problems but whatever). Between the lights and the beeps when you change it from heat to standby, you don't have to wonder if it's on or not.

Best skin care warmer
Bought 2 of these for warming coconut oil in a mug. Keep it on my bathroom counter for applying after shower. My friend loves hers also!!

Disappointed!
Sadly this cup warmer didn't heat my coffee after one week. I was sure to turn it off once I finished my coffee. It doesn't heat my coffee now. I went by the reviews which were all good but mine now is not very good. Could not recommend. It's going to be returned.

Lasted 5 months
Only lasted 5 months. Now it won't turn on or heat up. Don't waste your money on this.

Broke after several uses over a month. No way to return.
It looks nice, but stopped heating after being used a few times. I thought to return it, but the return window, which is a month, has colosed. So a total waste.

Great for the garage.
If you are working around the garage especially here in Ontario during the winter, this is a great gadget.
