The Quiet Place: Daily Devotional Readings

I wanted a new daily devotional having read others that I loved, like My Utmost for His Highest and Streams in the Desert to name a couple of wonderful ones with real depth. I searched Amazon and the title The Quiet Place hit me right away and the name of it's author hit me too. I knew Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth books were excellent and after reading all the great comments on this devotional and looking inside it, I knew it was for me. I go to my Quiet Place to meet with Jesus first and then enjoy this lovely devotional, full of encouragement, sometimes hard truths but always scriptural truths, and great teaching too,, so many things I need to be reminded of everyday! You will love it.

I use this to begin my daily early morning time with the Lord Jesus Christ. Written by godly woman, each day begins with a verse of Scripture followed by a paragraph or two of application, summing up with a comment on how this is pertinent to our lives today, closing with a question to the reader bring this lesson down to a very personal level and leaving her with the soul-searching question echoing - waiting for an answer. It is my favorite devotional book - not preachy but sensitive and direct. Nancy Leigh DeMoss's sweet spirit comes across in her writing, even when she is addressing very sensitive topics.

This is a wonderful way to draw near to God and read encouraging words that challenge and affirm what Scripture teaches about God. Nancy‘s books are always trustworthy. I have enjoyed reading this several times over the past years and have given it to many people. Highly recommend.

Awesome devotional!! She doesn’t sugar coat and she understands that we’re not here on this earth to be happy and get what we want! We’re here to glorify God and love Him and therefore we will be persecuted for it but she helps you to fight for His honor and yet be loving and compassionate while doing so! She helps you understand the hardships we face in this fallen world! I could go on and on! But her daily devotion is short, precise, and full of wisdom that is easy to understand and applicable!!!

I really like this devotional! I start my day with it daily!

My favorite devotional book that I have ever owned. My mother wrote to the author when I graduated, and this is the book Nancy sent me along with a letter of encouragement. Each of the devotions in this book have honestly blessed, encouraged, and/or challenged me as a woman seeking to be more like Christ. Her stories are so relevant and full of edifying grace. I feel that the questions asked in each devo are ones that I can truly take hold of and carry with me throughout my day. I can see a difference in how I act if I take a moment to be quiet and focus on God in the morning. I would recommend this to anyone I know.

The Quiet Place is a simple and encouraging daily devotional. I actually have the printed and digital version- it is just a small morsel for the day, but gives me something solid to meditate upon.I really appreciate Revive our Hearts and Nancy's writings, this devotional would make a great gift (I've personally gifted it to me sister and mother) and any believer would appreciate the solid truths and ease of writing style.I highly recommend this beautiful devotional.

I would recommend this product to EVERYBODY. I have had so much blessing from this, it has been so timely and I am so thankful I found this. I wish I could buy every person I know a copy of it!

This is a book of daily Bible readings written recently by an author whose comments are current, relevant and challenging. I have already bought two more copies for friends. Lovely book, beautifully presented - the ideal gift.
