Pretty handy medicine dispenser
I got this to give my dog (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) liquid meds and it works well, the tip is soft and gentle on her mouth, but it was too large for her little mouth. I've kept it because you never know when you'll have another dog or cat!!

Inconsistent Performance
At first this pill shooter worked great, and I was very happy. But I soon found out that using it on a daily basis meant that large capsules would stick/glue themselves inside the tip if there was any moisture at all, and half the time the silicone tip would come off with the pill! Thankfully my cats never swallowed it, but it means I had to do a lot of unnecessary fighting to get the pill down after the silicon tip came off. Definitely not worth the money, or the risk to your cats--I cannot recommend this to anyone who has to administer medication on a daily basis.

finger loops caused a bad delivery.
Holding onto The loops caused a restriction on my wrist. The power needed to depress the plunger also affected my the delivery. I’ve since found a device which is built like a syringe and it’s the answer to my prayers. My cat is difficult to pill and her health depends on 2x/day medication. This product is good, but was not good enough for me.

Quality made, but…
I really like these and I like that the come with a replacement tip, but they are very short making them hard to use on med to lg dogs, and the pill holding portion of the tip is so small that none of my pills fit into it. I had to cut little slits in it to allow it to expand and hold the pills I needed to give.

Wow!
I have been pushing dry pills down my poor dogs throat every night with the old pill gun... until now. The ability to add water is a game changer! It used to be hit and miss, if I got him to swallow his pills. Now, with a tiny squirt of water, he swallows his pills effortlessly and most important, painlessly!

DOSE NOT WORK.
THIS PRODUCT CLAIMS THAT IT CAN ALSO BE USED FOR PILL FORM. I TRIED THIS AND IT WOULD NOT DISPERSE IT. I EVEN BROKE THE PILL IN HALF AND IT STILL NOT WORK. SO NOW I AM STUCK WITH A PRODUCT THAT I CAN'T USE.

Dangerous Product
I purchased this product twice and used it for about a year to give our cat a daily prednisolone pill. I thought the pill shooter was effective and safe. I was so wrong. One day while pilling our cat, I pulled the shooter out of his mouth and did a double take. The silicone tip of the pill shooter was missing. I kept looking around trying to figure out where it went. I came to the sick realization that I had just shot the pill shooter's silicone tip down my cat's throat. To further help you decide if you want to buy this product, I'll tell you what happened to me after Rascal swallowed the tip. It was 6AM and our regular vet was closed. I began calling 24 Hour emergency vets. After 10 turndowns (too busy, etc.) I found a vet who would see our cat. She said they could give him a medicine that might cause him to vomit and the tip might come out. She also said the medicine wasn't always effective. That turned out to be the case. At 9AM the technician came out to my car to let me know that he did not vomit. The charge for this was almost $400.00When I went inside to pay, the vet saw me and said I needed find a specialized vet hospital with an endoscope (they didn't have one). At this point, I asked if the tip might come out naturally with a bowel movement. The vet said, "No, the tip will pass out of his stomach in about 10 hours and when it reaches his small intestine it will get lodged there. At that point your only option would be exploratory surgery in his small intestine to find the tip. Don't wait for this to happen. You need to find a vet with an endoscope who can remove it while it is still in his stomach. You have about seven hours left to get this done."I'm not going to write about the enormous difficulties I had finding an emergency vet with an endoscope. I live in Los Angeles, there should be lots of options. The only option was a seventy five mile drive in heavy traffic. I finally arrived at the emergency endoscope vet at 1PM with only about 4 hours to go on the window of opportunity we were given. The vet at Access Specialty Animal Hospital turned out to be fantastic and she was able (using the endoscope) to remove the tip. I posted the picture of the tip inside the bag they gave back to me. The endoscope procedure cost $2917.00I hope you and your cat never have a day like this. Please never buy this product!!!! Only use a one piece pill shooter whose tip cannot come off. This is a terribly dangerous product that should never be sold.

Perfect for administering pills to cats & small dogs
This is my second one. I need multiples because I have a few cats with chronic medical problems that need medication. The first piller worked so well, I got a second one so I can use one while the other is drying after washing. These are great for giving very small pills or capsules, The soft tip will not hurt your pet's mouth, but grips the medicine firmly.

Wish I got one earlier
I don’t know why I never thought to get something like this earlier. My cat has needed pills a couple times now, and there’s nothing worse than having to stick my fingers in her mouth and try to time dropping a pill in to the back of her throat. The pills I have to give are quite small. 12.5 & 15mg tablets. With the two tip sizes included, I was able to find one that worked for both. You pull the plunger back, slip the pill into the tip, and when ready push the plunger out. Very easy to work with. The length of the syringe was good enough for my needs, however I do wish the shape was a bit better ergonomically designed. It is uncomfortable to hold the cat and administer the pill in the way the shape is designed for, but that could just be a me issue as well.Give this a try if you need to give animals a pill. I worked great for me

Do not get this!
Both tips were exactly the same and were only for liquids or for very small pills. Then the rubber tip would fall off when we would inject it and our cat swallowed it. We are still waiting to see if she will vomit it out, but we will never get this product again.

Works but poor quality
Bought this as it looks identical to the one I lost which I got at my vet. This one is much more cheaply made, doesn’t feel very good quality compared to my other one. The tips are not as soft and quality feeling either. I’ll be trying to find the same brand I had before.

Makes it much easier to medicate my stubborn cat
I have an elderly cat who is particularly stubborn. With age, he requires a variety of medication. Unfortunately that means he occasionally needs to take tablets. For the life of me, I could never get the hang of administering it by hand, as he’d always manage to spit out the pill. This pill popper is pretty easy to use, and comes with two rubber tips to accommodate different pull sizes. It’s much easier to get the pill to the back of his throat now. I’ve had occasional trouble dispensing half-tablets, which are a little small and sometimes fall out—although this is minor considering the overall convenience.
