Excellent level
Several of my levels are Stanley Fax Max ones which are good and sturdy but the aluminium gets badly stained by cement which tends to cling to the milled surface. The Hultafors ones by comparison - being very similar in price - feel fairly flimsy and 'lightweight'. I have dismissed my initial predudice, however, because these are excellent levels. I have two of them and the good points are: (i) they are lightweight but strong (ii) the bubbles are clear and easy to see (iii) the anodised aluminium finish is excellent as cement residue just wipes off, and if any has set it comes off easily - with no marks on the aluminium. So, all in all, an excellent range of levels, although in many ways I still prefer my Fat Max ones because of their 'feel', but that's really just my prejudice, although I suggest you try and see these in 'the flesh' in order that you can ascertain your personal preference.

The level has clear accurate bubbles that are easy to read. It is also very light to use as one person, hopefully this doesn't compromise strength but there is no indication it has.Mine did arrived scratched, although I was compensated for this. It may however be an indication that the silver finish is prone to scuffs and scrapes so something to keep in mind.

Very clear and light
Easier to read than my last one. That's why I bought it in fact! Older eyes not making out the details of the bubbles so well!It's lighter too which is handy when trying to balance something on a wall, get it level and mark up a pilot-hole.Plus I know a truly excellent carpenter and he only uses Hultafors levels so that's a great recommendation. Good solid Swedish quality :)
