Hidom 50w Submersible Aquarium Fish Tank Shockproof Thermostat Heater - Adjustable Temperature HT-2050 Upgraded Specification

I received the heater and knew straight away it had been used before. Packaging was closed back over with tape and the product seemed to be bursting out. I opened it and took everything out that looked like it had just been shoved back in. I didn't let this discourage me and began to use the heater in my fish tank. Its been in my tank now for a week and not only doesn't it not heat my 4ft tank, Which a 300w should but I cannot adust the temperature at all. The dial at the top doesn't turn whatsoever. Really not happy and would like a refund or replacement sent out immediately from the seller before all my fish die pleaseUpdate: They wont give me a refund. Avoid!

Arrived the next day as is usual for Prime, the heater does exactly what it is supposed to do so not much needs to be said about it really. Setting the temperature on the heater results in the water being heated to within a degree or two of the chosen temperature but I find that normal with these types of heaters, I just adjust it over a few days until it hits my required temp.This is also much shorter than my previous 200 watt heaters so would be handy in a shallow tank.

Very pleased with this. I bought the 25w and it is excellent for my small tank and for my tropical fish. It had my tank to the correct temperature quickly.

I ordered this heater when my older one kept going up and down and making it difficult to keep my aquarium's temperature steady. Not good for any of the inhabitants. It arrived quickly, and heated up brilliantly, and I keep checking the thermometer to make sure all is still going well. It's been in use for over a month, which in the grand scheme of things might not seem like long, but a lot of them just peter out or overblow so quickly. This one is as steady as a rock so far, the fish and shrimp are contented, and I don't have to panic any longer. Yes, I would definitely recommend it, mine is in a 34L tank, and it's going great so far.

It arrived yesterday less than 24 hours after delivery. I tested it in a tall jug of cold water and it reached the temperature set very accurately. I tried three different temperatures and all achieved. The plug is not a sealed type which is good because I will use it for beer and wine fermentation and have threaded the cable through the rubber bung.

I received the heater last night to go with my little heater in my 200ltr tank. I plugged it in it worked for approx. 3seconds then the light went off. I assumed it was just up to temp, how ever my little heater was still on. I unplugged my little heater last night to see if the 300w heater would work. Came down this morning and the tank was at 22dec. Small heater plugged back in and started to heat. Therefore 300w heater is not working.

I have bought two of these heaters now for my small beta tanks. The first one gave out hardly any heat and was unable to keep a small 20litre tank at a suitable temperature, raising it to barely above room temperature.I assumed this was just a dud so ordered another heater as I have always found Hidom to be a good brand. This one is exactly the same.I would recommend going up to the 50w for anything over about 15ltrs as this really doesn't have the power for maintaining a reliable temperature.It is a nice size and the dial is easy to use.

Just a short review...the heater works perfectly and as a bonus I have found that at 24C the setting on this heater is very accurate...always a bonus since I have had heaters in the past where I have had to set the thermostat over 2C away from the temp I wanted! I am running a Fluval Flex 57 litre and this heater sits perfectly along side the pump in the back section.
