BestNest Classic Three-Woodpecker House

Nice,well made. Woodpeckers had pecked away at our old bird house when they occupied it,as they certainly will do. This house has the metal around the entrance hole to prevent them from doing that. Interestingly enough,we have an Eastern Screech Owl taking up residence in this house now..( you might be able to see him in the pics)so the woodpeckers may have to wait a season 😝

This house is very well built. It is mounted on a tall pole, that once had a Purple Martin House. Storm destroyed the Purple Martin House, so this one went up. Now to just keep the sparrows from claiming it….

Well made and comfortable for nesting woodpeckers.

It is as advertised. Pricey but should last years. Beautifully constructed.

This Woodpecker house is well made but it is a little light-weight, so I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. The wood is not real dense like a hardwood but it is solid and well built. We added a wood stain to preserve the wood. I used a Minwax brand with the Stain and Polyurethane combined in 1 step. I used a light color called Honey Pine and gave it 2 coats. A small 8 oz. can is more than you need. I also put a couple wood screws into the metal part that is over the entrance as it came off easily (it was lightly glued on). I'd say it's a pretty good deal!

Wish it came with some sort of paperwork. Had an extra piece of thin wood covering up hole, did not know what it was for.

The media could not be loaded.  This woodpecker nesting box is well constructed and offers shelter from the rain and has ventilation holes top and bottom. The squirrels NEVER bother it. Of course, neither do the woodpeckers. Especially since the honeybees are using it for a hive! They seem to love it! I am happy to provide them shelter, but will need to order another box before spring! Oh - about the question of whether or not it is easy to clean - I can only say "maybe, but...".

Doesn't seem to attract any birds. Boo-Hoo
