Ultimate Ears BOOM 2 Portable Waterproof & Shockproof Bluetooth Speaker - Phantom Edition

I don't know what else to say about this speaker, charge holds me for 2 + days with fairly heavy use. I've been in hospital for more than a year now and music keeps me sane, so quality sound is an imperative for me. Much cheaper than the Bose and the sound is comparable. I use it for spotify from my Ipad and for movies on my laptop and I also use it on the tv in my hospital room. This speaker has hit the floor 4 times now and no dents and absolutely no effect on the sound. This thing is rugged. I know it is not the latest model , but for my needs and the difference in price this is the perfect speaker. Less than $90 bought me fabulous clarity. Btw the built in equalizer on the app is fabulous as well, presets that are all customizable so I'm able to adjust for different rooms and uses. ( Monday night football would not use the same EQ as Miles Davis) Also this thing has volume to spare, I've gotten busted by the charge nurse for blasting Led Zeppelin @ 7 am. But hey you gotta live.....do it up right with this speaker!

We have a pair of these we use in the backyard and when camping or on vacation. If you're looking for really loud sound you may want a bigger unit, but for good sound quality at a reasonable volume, durability, ease of use, portability, and long battery life these are great. Using 2 speakers via one phone can be hit or miss on connectivity. I've fought with it on one Samsung phone until tweaking just the right BT permissions got it working finally, but another paired both right away with smart things. Using 1 speaker I've not had any problems with pairing connecting, and added a second one out of curiosity and to get more of a stereo effect. Battery lasts a long time, and charges via any Bluetooth power source. I haven't dunked one yet, but they've handled rain and spills without any issue, as well as being dropped a few times.

I’ve had this speaker now for several years. It still works great and has great sound. The carrying case I bought also makes it easy to store and carry it anywhere.

I got a faulty unit I believe as the tap control wasn't working, so I returned it, I did enjoy it and it put out very nice noise for such a small unit. The return was very easy and I did upgrade to the UE Megaboom, which I also love, I will review that as well. If you're looking for Bass, then this may not satisfy you, but overall quality and volume were good and the battery lasted forever, this is loud enough to use on the outside of my hot tub and still boom over the jets. I can also attest that the UE boom series is truly waterproof Would def keep purchasing UE products

I have tried so many other by speakers... This is by far the best! It does not sound like you are listening something coming from a box! Super crisp, room filling sound from one speaker. With that being said, because of it's size (like a 'tall-boy' beer can) it does not have the low-bass like non-Bluetooth speakers. Any bt speakers with extra-bass end up sounding worse than this speaker. That box effect. Anyway if you download the app, you can adjust the bass and everything else. You can also turn it on and off with the app or add additional ue speakers there. I paired it with my echo dot to play music through Spotify on command. I also take it in the shower and am trying it out ice fishing. Battery life seems to be great. Only had a week so far and a few hours of play time. Haven't needed to charge it. I am very happy I finally got this thing--waited forever for it to go on sale, but should have just spent the extra 30$ sooner.

The charging port broke very expensive speaker and didn’t last disappointing

Bluetooth speaker is wonderful great quality and the sound is exte ordinary!!

I can have excellent sound out of a nice ~ 7” round tower. Time lasts well. The Only negative thing I have to say is that the battery change is a pain. You can apparently pry it opens for new battery but you need soldering iron.. (Intructions on line). *But I bought another* hoping someone can tinker with my old & make it good as new.
