I recently had a total knee replacement.I was not able to sit down in general without sticking my bad leg out and plopping down.This was not high enough and I felt unsafe using it.

I used this for a very short time when I had shoulder surgery. It fit my regular sized tub perfectly. It was very sturdy for me (weight 160 lbs.) Good price.

I sprained my ankle falling down the basement steps a few weeks ago and the hardest chore for me has been showering. I bought this to aid with that essential task each day. I used it yesterday for the first time and it did help to be able to sit while lathering up by taking the weight off my foot. One thing to watch for. While I was sitting there I felt myself moving only to find that I was slipping off the front. I then started holding on to the handles on the sides of the chair. I am only 5'5" and 114 pounds so I didn't have a problem with the "fit" of this chair. So, for the shower part it was helpful, albeit a little risky unless you held on. The thing I did not like was the pain it was to drain. Water goes in all those little holes for adjustment to size on the legs, and in order for it to drain, we had to take it apart and let it sit on a towel until drained and dry. I wish there was one with solid legs, but then I guess there wouldn't be any adjustments possible. Mmm. Anyway, it does help with what we need and at least I won't have to use this much longer.

After getting another that didn't work (almost fell off of it) and not being able to shower for several days, this came early and I can use it safely. It was easy to assemble. The legs are straight instead of sticking out so it fits our 4' tub which also isn't as wide as other tubs.

Assembly took about 5 minutes. It's sturdy and compact, and fits well in a smaller 3 sided shower. I think it's a bit pricey for what it is.

This stool does its job, but I wouldn't trust my grandma with it. I'm 28 and just had brain surgery, so it's working well for me, but even though my husband (a mechanic) checked that I put it together correctly, the legs are just slightly different heights, so it wobbles slightly. It's safe for someone like me who can mostly trust their legs, as long as I'm careful, but if someone is elderly, heavy, or fragile, I wouldn't risk it. Still, good enough for the price point.

It was easy to assemble, no tools needed at all. I'm not a senior, but I have a broken ankle. So standing in the shower was very tiresome for me. Getting this bench has been such a relief for me.
