Blue Series III 12,000 BTU

This is a horrible company. I purchased ultimately 2 units from them with the promise of them to fix the mini a/c split. The lied to me and told me they could not issue a refund but would fix the problem. 3 times they sent my authorized repair guy (they made me use one at my own expense). I am attaching my repair mans letter to Amazon for all to see for themselves To Who it may concern My name is Chris Bermudez I have about 30 years of experience in the A/C Refrigeration Business. I recently installed 2 different units from Air-Con for Mr. Burke. The first Unit was a 9000 Btu unit. After the installation the Unit ran fine for about 30 minutes and then it stopped and started giving codes. I had to search the internet for the company tech support. I then found the only way to get to Tech support was to call the warranty number. At this point Mr.Burke decided to just replace the unit with a larger 12000 Btu unit because of the amount of time it took to finally reach the company for help. I removed the 9000 Btu unit and replaced it with the 12000 Btu unit. Again, the new unit ran now for a day or two and then stopped working and started coding. Now I had the number to reach the Tech support department and spoke with a gentleman that started to help. I sent him pictures of the wiring set up on both the indoor and outdoor units. Upon looking at the wiring pictures and explaining to him the operating pressures he agreed that the unit did have issues. From the codes on the unit he sent me 2 thermistors which I replaced first. He said if that didn't correct the problem he would send me a new control board which was also a possibility according to the unit codes. After installing the thermistors, the unit failed again and coded the same code. I called back tech support and they now sent me out a new board. Upon installation of the new board, I found that the new board would not fit into the unit because the Heat sink on the new board was much larger than the old heat sink and it would not fit into the unit. I called Tech support back and he then told me I had to change the heat sink from the old board to the new board because that was all they had in the warehouse. I took issue with this because I am not a computer board repairman and they should have sent me the correct board. I explained to him that the heat sink had special paste on it and I didn't want to damage the board. He then agreed to send me the paste. He said if it didn't work, he would talk to his superiors about replacing the unit. I installed the control board and again, the unit failed and now was coding again and now the compressor was not running. Mr. Burke then called the company and they refused to send a replacement unit. I told Mr. Burke that these units which I never heard of before were not what I would have installed for him if I was going to do an install. I then removed the units and installed a 9000 Btu unit made by Fujitsu which I use more than any other brand. The install was done and the Unit is running perfectly. The Tech support of Air -Con is probably the worst I have dealt with in all my years in this business. Sincerely, xxxxxxxxxxx

This is guality made system and works excellenl. I think the remote symbols are small and a bit hard to see. The side sweep doesn't travel enough to blow sideways, but that is petty compared to what you get for your money. It is also quiet. And when the unit was delivered damaged, this company had a new unit delivered within 5 days. Great service!

I bought 7 of these unit. The very first install went great and the unit was working as expected. The next day the unit was flashing an error code. We call the company and told them what the error code was and immediately they knew it was a bad control board. We explained that the unit was “Brand New” had just been installed the day before. They said well it’s under warranty so we will send you a new control board BUT you have to pay the $25 shipping and pay my HVAC tech to change the board. That to me is the definition of a horrible company! *******So again their warranty means nothing buyer beware!**********

Must vacuum purge the lines to get advertised seer efficiency and the warrantee.

Correction: The delivered unit did have all the items. It included the electrical wire and the line set.......all is good!

If you install this yourself, there is no warranty. Read the actual warranty. The compressor is a Chinese compressor. I bought two of these, a 24BTU and a 12BTU. The 24 died in less than a year, and the 12 died in about two years.

Installed unit 2 years ago, It started to not cool very well then failed completely other than fan mode. Had to use a resistive space heater this last winter. While replacing with a different unit, I discovered that all the Freon had slowly leaked out over the 2 years of operation.

Worked only one year....A/C arrived damaged. The unit worked well one year and a couple months. Now it does not cool and their is ice on both lines near the condenser. I suspect a plugged line. Their is no one to complain.
