The IR repeater works as it should. Very easy to install with a pretty good range and wide field. I knocked off a star because as others have complained and with my experience as well, the 3m double stick tape on the receiver and emitter both fell off after about 12 hours. Save yourself a step before install, replace the tape with good quality double stick tape and you'll be golden. For 7 bucks, this gets the job done.

*Edit. Found that it works perfect if I hold my remote within a foot or two of the reciever. Even though it flashes red when I sit further back clearly indicating it’s recieving the remote signal. Faulty?So I recently moved my A/V gear into a new entertainment center with closed cabinets. Needed this to be able to control volume on my Pioneer A/V reciever with the cabinet closed. Plugged it in and tested it before running the wires and mounting, seemed to work great. Install it all, and it works when it wants to now.I can see the red LED confirming it’s getting signal from my remote, but out of every 10 button clicks, 1-2 might actually work even though all 10 button clicks registered with the red LED flashing.I’ve moved the IR blaster sensor around. It’s DIRECTLY in front of the IR receiver on the Pioneer and still does this.

Nice long cords allowed me to route through a large cabinet and place receiver inconspicuously. Hardest part (which wasn't hard) was finding owner's manuals for equipment and locating where the repeater should be attached.

Can confirm this works perfectly as an IR repeater for my Yamaha RX-v385 receiver, which I'd moved inside a media cabinet (with ventilation fans courtesy of AC Infinity -- look em up). Instead of using the little USB power brick, I plugged it directly into the front USB port on the receiver to provide power.

We bought a new "big" chair that we placed in front of the electronics corner - and suddenly found our regular remote wasn't going to work alone. We would have to stand up and crank our arm around to have the signal reach. This small item solved that. Then new receiver button has a very small green light, and flashes red when we push the remote buttons. All work as ordered! Thanks.

My old dead one was wired so I simply plugged this one in and cranked it up. Works much better and I'm very happy.

Works perfectly to store my dvd player out of site but still be able to to control it while sitting in front of the tv. I like that the light blinks when it recieves signal from the remote control so that i know that its working. Worth every penny.

This IR repeater comes with everything you need and works great. Just tape the emitter right on top of the IR receiver on whatever device you're trying to control, plug it into the included AC adapter, and position the receiver somewhere where it can see your remote. The receiver has an LED light that blinks when it receives a signal, so that you know it saw the remote command.I used a USB battery pack when I was testing it, and I noticed that the battery kept turning off. That's actually a good thing, because it means the power draw on the repeater is so low that the battery didn't notice it.My only criticism is that the length of cord from the USB plug to the emitter is only about three feet. That's probably fine in most cases, but due to my setup I had to use an extension cord to reach the wall socket.

Wow! Facile et très performant! Il fonctionne a une tres bonne distance! Facile a utiliser! Vraiment le fun que le transmetteur soit en dessous du capteur et quil est coller directement sur l’apareille! Wow quel beau produit et vraiment pas chère! J’aurais payer trois fois le prix pour cette qualité!

It works just great - just as it should. The receiver works fine with the remote about 4 meters away and 2 meters off center. The cords are long enough and the disconnect at the transmitter end is handy for setup.The only downside is the same one other reviewers mention - the self adhesive tape gave up after about a day and the receiver fell down.

you might need to get creative witht he double sided tape( I had a projector ) but it is a good product

This IR repeater works perfectly. Small and unobtrusive. I placed a piece of black gaffer's tape over the green LED so I don't see it blinking while in use. Cables are a decent length and can be tied/tucked away for a clean install.
