Good protection
I wanted to add this for son's new mountain bike as he is still getting used to riding a larger bike and i would hate for the gears to become messed up if the bike fell on the geared side. It took me 5 minutes to install. Piece of cake.

It Fits Perfectly
The Stylrtop Rear Derailleur Guard is certainly worth purchasing if your derailleur is unprotected. The guard appears to be made of a strong steel that will definitely reduce any potential damage in the event of accidents. It took me only a few minutes to fit it to my granddaughter's 20" Huffy Mountain Bike. The guard also has several indents so that even the factory preinstalled bolts were allowed for. Recommended.

Not Big Enough for Ebike, Skimpy Welding Job
I had to drill out the oblong hole on this guard in order to fit it through my e-Bike axle, which was slighty too big for it. Also, the size of the metal bar used to construct this was a slightly smaller diameter than the original guard on my eBike, and the whole unit was about 1/2 inch shorter (did not extend down as far, but it does extend outward the same distance as the original eBike guard, so it does not interfere with the derailleur). And, the welds attaching the bar to the mounting plate do not go all the way around the bar, they leave an unwelded gap around half of the bar. It feels strong and inflexible, but the reason I am replacing this is because the weld on my big ebike guard broke. So I'm not happy that they skimped on the welds on this unit. But it works after drilling out the hole, so I'm just knocking it down one star and keeping it.

Easy install and protect gear
I set up for my kids due to be lazy. it is working very well and hope I do not need to pay any more to repair.

Protect those fragile derailleurs!
This fit right on the axel bolt. Works great. We put them on all the bikes after 2 of kids bikes received smashed derailleurs on the trail ride. A great investment!
