I bought this for the 90+ CRI, which is hard to find in fluorescent replacements. Unfortunately this is not an instant-on light. It takes about 0.5 seconds to turn on, which is more than enough to be a noticeable delay and slightly annoying. It wouldn't matter in a commercial setting where it would be on almost all the time, but in a home setting you might want to think twice about it depending on where you plan to install it. There is also variation in the delay between lights. I installed 16 in a garage and I can see that some turn on before the others. And in case you are wondering, I did remove the ballasts as required.If you want a fluorescent replacement that is both instant-on and 90+ CRI, Fulight Optoelectronic makes one, but it is more expensive. I bought one of their's for a 2-foot fluorescent fixture since Hyperikon does not offer this light in a 2-foot size. The Fulight is true instant-on and the color quality is just as good as the Hyperikon.

Nice crisp light and brighter than fluorescent tubes they replace. These tubes replaced all my old T12's without any problem and with removalof old ballasts from the fixtures you eliminate humming noise as well. These LED tubes produce very pleasing light. I used these clear cover tubes in fixtures with milky wraparounds and they are perfect. You might consider using frosted cover tubes for fixtures where the tubes are exposed to direct view. In any case you will have no regrets buying these tubes.

Really like the CRI 90+ rating. We can't believe the saturated colors we see in our kitchen now! We swapped out 12 fluorescent daylight T8's for 12 of these double ended CRI 90+ Hyperikon plastic bulbs and they are amazing. I also like the fact that they are double ended as opposed to single ended. I feel that it is a safer design to keep the polarity of the power separated by a large distance as opposed to just the distance between tombstone prongs on a single ended design. Removing the ballasts was easy following the directions on Hyperikon's website. It took me 15 minutes per fixture (of two bulbs). I'm a retired high school science teacher so I'm pretty handy, but really I think anyone with a little courage and following the directions closely can do this!!! Save our environment with no mercury and lower power consumption. Do it now!

Swapped out old fluorescent T12s and ballasts, super easy to do, and now have flicker free, uniform lighting. The packaging was great and all 24 bulbs I ordered worked/no damage.The light output is 2x of the old T12s, so for every 4 old T12s I removed, I only replaced it with 2x T8 LEDs and get the same light output.What are you waiting for! Get rid of those old fluorescents...

I am a stamp dealer and colour is very important for our business. The colour rendering is amazing near sunlight.Very easy installation. Would definitely recommend.
