Different from large Cuisinarts
This little gem is better than the large ones in many respects. I was hesitant to buy it because of the problems I have with the large models, but this operates very differently. I have been using and partly hating Cuisinart for 30 years. The large models leak through the central stem; they need to be scraped down frequently during operation, they are difficult to clean, as some parts collect food and cannot be flushed out, and the plastic tabs break eventually. I do not subject the parts to harsh dishwasher conditions and have a score of special brushes to clean the parts. This small processor is actually more powerful in some regards because it operates differently, which is poorly explained by the manufacturer. The two buttons "chop" and "grind" are named so that they give you no idea of how they are different. Operating it clarifies everything. One works clockwise and the other anti-clockwise, presenting a different blade surface, elevation and angle. Alternating between the two shifts the bowl contents back to the blade, sort of. And here is my main disappointment: it doesn't puree small amounts. I put in two stems of steamed broccoli with hopes of creaming it. It chops everything into tiny bits and sprays them all over the entire bowl, the underside of the lid, the sides. I scraped the bowl down to put everything on the bottom again and the blades just blew everything back without making the particles smaller. I added water and it splattered around into a chopped mess with water, but it was impossible to make it puree. Cleaning is really a snap. Immediately run the three pieces (lid, bowl, blade) under water and that's it. If there is grease in the bowl, use soapy water, but it hasn't needed scrubbing yet. It was able to handle something my large Cuisinart couldn't: making bone meal. This small unit minced bones into bone meal in a flash. My large Cuisinart got stuck every 4-5 seconds when it wedged a bone between the blade and the bowl. Having both sizes is a great advantage. I need to process small amounts of fresh vegetables and fruits to add to every meal for my dog. I have tried several manual mills, juicers, presses, ricers, grates, and have settled on this Cuisinart as the most effective processor. Being the easiest to clean, the least expensive and no problem to add to a crowded kitchen makes it a great solution. I just wish it worked more like a blender, being able to pull the bowl contents back for reprocessing instead of splattering them. I will not use the ninja pulse smoothie blenders because they have gasket issues that harbor mold and break down. Until someone designs something better, this Cuisinart is probably my best option.

Little processor is a powerhouse! Love it!
This was a wonderful surprise for us because I have arthritis that is becoming worse in my hands and handling the big and heavy glass blender was getting nearly impossible. I like to chop up a variety of veggies for my three dogs to mix into their dinner. Carrots are the most loved and I was very concerned that this cute little Mini-Prep Plus Processor would not be up to the task. It works fast, it works effortlessly, and it leaves not one carrot chunk behind. The finished product is perfectly minced and easily blends into their food. The one thing that worried me at first was that this little tyke makes a good deal of noise while performing its magic. However, not one of the three dogs noticed and the blind cat stayed right where she was when the noise started. The job is started and finished in about three seconds! Actually, now I do not have to yell "Dinner is served!" because the little machine does it for me! Washing up is a breeze as the parts are simple to separate from one another, very small, and go back together in two seconds or less! Plus the parts weigh nearly nothing. It is like working with toy appliances that work like a charm. I love this little wonder and only wish I had purchased it earlier. Plus, it has been serving us non-stop, twice a day, for over a month and it has not skipped a beat!

Tiny and Mighty Powerful
I love my 3-cup mini-Cuisinart! I purchased it in 2023 and have used it 2-4 times a week. Best investment I think I've ever made. I was grateful that it was at that time very affordable; it's now $10 more, unavailable, and they don't know when or if they'll have them again. Too bad Amazon stopped carrying it. Let's hope they get more!

Cuisinart Electric chopper
This looks nice. I got a red one. Its all plastic except blade. Easy to clean. It does not seem as sturdy as my 20 yr old 1 cup. I replaced with this one bc the blade in old one is dull. Nothing is made heavy duty or long lasting anymore. This chopper works. Its larger than my 1.5 cup chopper but not able to handle 2 or 3 cups either. I haven't figured out how to make it chop evenly. You are supposed to pulse it rather than steadily holding chop or grind button. I chop carrots and other veggies. Onions, nuts. I can only do one cup at a time. If you think to chop a large amount at one time, forget it. This does chop. The blade is quite sharp. If you overfill, it will spill out. Again, getting it to chop evenly has eluded me. There are always larger pieces that get missed while the rest gets overly pulverized. I wld recommend hand washing it. I dont think the cup or lid wld survive the temp in dishwasher. I kept it bc I needed one with a sharp cutting blade. Im not a daily or big time cook. It suits me for now. I have other Cuisinart brand kitchen supplies. This is not their worst but, not their best either.

Solid construction; works like a champ.
The compartment that holds the food turns/clicks onto the base with such ease. This chopper is well built. I chose the deep red color and it is stunning on my kitchen counter. Cleanup, under the sink faucet, is easy as the unit dis-assembles in a minute. It chops and grinds pecans and almonds perfectly (for toppings, etc.) and will pulse herbs delicately as well. It is larger (taller and wider) than I expected, overall, and carries some weight. You can tell it is well built and should last a long time. The food compartment holds a ton of product, and yet vibrates very little when chopping; it is quite stable on the counter top. This chopper is like a mini blender and I highly recommend it, for the quality, ease of use and cleaning, and the price is definitely right. Buy it.

I have used this processor to make protein balls and sadly not very happy with it. Firstly it arrived broken in transit. I waited over 1 month to get it there is no point sending it back to wait another 2 months to get a new one. I’m using it for making what I thought was pretty basic recipe, the only hard ingredient I added was almonds and as you can see from the pic, it failed to chop them up. Maybe this processor can only be used for soft foods but I would have not purchased if I knew that. It took a while to get it to work - tip; you need to ensure no food gets under the blade or it won’t sit fully on the bottom of the container and will not sit into place. Cleaning; ok to clean.
