Great game gets pulled out often on game night.
I own dozens of board and card games. This one get pulled out often. I was first exposed to the German version of this game called 6 Nimmt. The game is fun and quick to play and easy to learn which makes a good game for non-gamer friends and a good filler game for board gaming friends when we're waiting for someone to show up or waiting for dinner, etc. Highly recommend. The only thing I can possibly knock about the game is that it uses a large box for what is essentially a double deck of cards which seems wasteful. The German version came in a tiny form-fitting box which I still use. For this version I just throw rubber bands arounds the cards or throw them in a sandwich bag for easy transport and ditched the box long ago.

promises fun from a reliable game publisher
I am saving this as a gift to myself for Christmas. I'm sure it will be fun, and there's actually 2 games included in this box. I have other games from this publisher, and they are of good quality. I expect the same from Take 5. I watched videos and read reviews before purchasing. It looks easy to learn and good for a group.

Fun and exciting | Better than No Thanks, The Mind, etc. | Requires luck and strategy | Easy, fast
It is really confusing to me that games like No Thanks, The Mind, Point Salad, For Sale, Uno, etc. always get more love and always get recommended more than this game (I never saw this game got recommended), when this is clearly the better and more fun game! I knew those other games before and yes they are fun, then my friend casually just introduced this game to me, and all I can think about while playing is that I can already throw away my copy of No Thanks. I'm really sad for the people (like me before) who isn't aware that this game exists, and this is way better than No Thanks! Pros - Fun and exciting to play! That feeling where you know you are playing a bad card for the current round but hopes that another player plays a worse card than you. Also, those sudden changes which suddenly disrupts your expectations of what will happen really makes the game exciting at every moment. - A party game! But don't underestimate, this can be played by anyone, whether a beginner in gaming or a war gamer. Because this is a rare party game that involves both extreme luck and extreme strategy! - Very strategic. Yes this game involves a lot of luck, but also strategy. You wouldn't win here with just luck. - Easy to learn - Fast to play Cons - No miniatures. Just joking! No cons, this game is flawless!

Love this game
We've only played Take 5, but it is so fun and easy to learn. Its fast paced works great with big groups! Everyone plays a card at the same time, so you're not sitting around for a long time waiting for people to take their turns. Even my younger children like to play, (they don't understand how to strategize to play it well) but all they have to do is throw a card down each round and then they feel like they're included in the grown up games.

The best "warm up" game out there
I have been playing 6 Nimmt (Take 5) for 25 years. This is my third deck, my previous two either got worn out or I lost cards. It is a great, super fun game, perfect when you are just starting (or ending) your game night and are looking for something quick, light, and fun. And, unlike many games, the MORE people you have playing the funner the game gets. Take 5 with the full 10 players is super fun (people start taking points in the first round!). It is also great because the rules take 5 minutes to teach, and everyone can play it. The ONLY frustration I have ever heard around the game is that there is no "winning" strategy. There is a lot of luck in terms of what cards you have and what numbers come out. But, otherwise, the strategy is not to do anything really stupid. E.g. don't play a card that you KNOW will take a row. You can try strategies like 'card counting', and they can help (e.g. "I know he the 62 was played, so I can play the 63 on the 61 and be safe), but it often works out that other player's actions completely mess up your strategy ("he took the row with the 61... now I have to play the 6th card on this row!"). A MUST for anyone's games collection.

Fun for a family of 4 to up to 10 people. Love this!!
We love the two games. My 8 and 10 year old can also play it. Super easy, but with a twist to make it fun. The larger the group, the more difficult, but also so much more fun!!

I haven't played the physical game yet (due to my group's covid concerns) but I have played 6 nimmt on boardgamearena and it's awesome, fast & easy to learn with lots of challenge & strategy. Cards received in this game are of good quality so I expect we'll have a great time once we resume gaming in person.
