Tighten the nuts before installation.....
It matches up well with the other Minka Lavery products we used in our master bath and seems to be of decent quality. Be sure to align the arms and tighten the nuts on the backside of the mounting plate BEFORE installation - otherwise the lights on either side will tend to sag.Addendum - we've had these about a year now and still like the look - but - the light output (where you need it) is dismal when the fixture is installed as intended . We have these located above bathroom vanity mirrors and, with the shades directed upward, most of the light is directed toward the ceiling and not on your upper body. I finally flipped the fixtures over so that the shades were directed downward and there was a significant improvement in the illumination over the sink. From all that I can gather, it seems that the light was intended to be installed with the shades pointed up...... so, I made sure to screw the shades in as tight as possible and I planned to use either CFL or LED bulbs to lessen heat build-up within the fixture.

Great!
Bought a pair of these to replace the lights in the master bath. I could not be happier.
