The Appalachian Pile Sherpa Pullover was created after one of our developers took a six month break from Southern Marsh to pursue his dream of hiking the Appalachian Trail. During the journey, he took notes on what he thought would make the perfect outerwear piece based on his experience and listening to other hikers. The essential conclusion was a fabric that could be worn day or night, that felt as comfortable on the body as a plush blanket, and could perform under changing weather conditions. Sherpa Pile fleece turned out to be the exact solution — designed to have all the great benefits of wool, it naturally regulates temperature, insulates, and has a soothing, ultra-soft and airy feel. Quality issue
I cut the tags off less than an hour ago. Went to pull sleeves up to wash my hands and sleeve ripped. I decided to spend a little more for what I thought was a better quality name brand. Other than the rip I was really excited to get this shirt it fit great!! A little bigger than I expected but love the way it wore. Already started the return order not sure I will order another one??

Came with a HUGE rip in sleeve
I ordered this in the summer for a Fall trip and didn’t open it up until today (2mo later). Of course I had a HUGE rip in the sleeve. This was not an inexpensive item and I’m very disappointed - lesson learned that even if the outside packaging seems ok always open immediately and check the product. God it was for me and not a gift as that would have been embarrassing!!!!

Nice fit, look, and great "feel"
Got a few like this and I can easily say this is very much one of my favorite. I haven't worn it more than five times so who knows if it'll last (others here have had issues with tearing it seems), but I'm very happy so far.

Softest pile available in a mens pullover.
Extremely soft, well made. Fit is boxy as expected in this type of winter gear.

Cute but baggy and spendy.
It was cute, but a bit oversized, and that’s coming from someone who likes oversized clothes. I just felt I could get better quality for the money so I ended up returning.

Amazing
Very warm and very comfortable. I use this as my insulating layer for cold weather under my carhartt. This is the warmest shirt I have owned and it drys so fast if you sweat.
