Warmth Without the Bulk
Warmth Without the Bulk This Thermajohn thermal underwear set has been an excellent base layer for cold weather. The fleece lining feels soft and adds a good layer of insulation without being too thick or heavy. I wore it under jeans and a hoodie on a chilly morning walk, and it kept me comfortably warm without overheating once I was moving around. The material has just enough stretch to allow easy movement, and the fit feels true to size for an XL—snug but not restrictive. What I especially like is that the set is lightweight yet traps warmth well, so it doesn’t feel like I’m bundled up. The fabric also seems to wick away sweat decently, which helps keep things comfortable if you’re active outdoors. After a wash cycle, it held its shape and softness, no pilling or shrinking noted. Something to keep in mind is that while this works great as a base layer, it’s not intended to be worn on its own in really cold temps—you’ll still want an outer layer. Also, the top is a bit longer, which helps keep it tucked in but may feel extra for some. Bottom line: A reliable, comfortable, and warm thermal set that’s perfect as a base layer for cold weather activities or just keeping cozy indoors.

Very comfortable
I am very happy with the purchase of these long Johns . They fit true to size and will stretch if need be. I put them on and could feel my legs warming up right away. Worth the money.

Great buy - keeps you warm and cozy!
My husband say they are impressively warm without feeling bulky. The fabric is soft, stretchy, and comfortable enough for all‑day wear, whether you’re outside in freezing temperatures or just trying to stay cozy indoors. They wick moisture well and hold their shape after washing, which makes them a reliable winter staple. A solid choice if you want affordable thermal layers that actually perform.

Good value for what they are.
As the owner of an Akita who is virtually weatherproof and likes his two walks a day. And as an interior trim carpenter who is often working an environment where I'm out in the cold, and then warmth of inside as a continuous cycle my search for the perfect thermal continues. The two keys to staying warm in cold weather is preventing air infiltration, while not dressing so warm that activity causes you to sweat. First, the good things. Both the top and bottoms are very comfortable. Although "large" was recommended, I went with medium and both the top and the bottom fit like a second skin. No bunching, they move with my body and I notice no creep in the material. Both garments appear well made, labeling is printed (a HUGE plus in my opinion) and very soft feeling. I'm confident that once I just wear them, instead of paying attention to their warmth purpose I'll forget I have them on. At rest, in the warmth of a heated house, they will not overheat you which can be a downside to some thermals in my experience. Now to the purpose. Warmth. This morning temp is 40 (f) with a "feels like" of 35. Light NW breeze. On our morning walk (more of a stroll, since the pup is getting up in years these days) I wouldn't call myself warm, per se, but comfortably cool. I estimate the bottoms will probably hold my warmth down to an outside temp of about 30 (f) but not much colder than that. Having said that, under moderate to vigorous exercise/work I'm sure they'll perform better. The top kept my torso (core) warm, with a cotton long sleeve over it, and then a regular shirt over that (and a medium weight jacket over that). Legs with just the base layer and a pair of cargo pants over, I could feel air infiltration. Not bad for what these are - a thin base layer. Though, not as good as some other thermals I've had (and am having a hard time finding again, bought them as military suplus). I'm going to be keeping these, they'll work on days like this. I can also see these as being a good choice on days that start out in the 30's and end in the upper 50's without overheating. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they still aren't quite what I'm looking for - which is a thermal that will perform well into the 20's with minimal overheating inside.

Great base layer
Great base layer! We bought for a recent trip to Alaska and it kept my husband warm on the colder days of our trip. We haven’t had any issues with shrinkage with washing so far. Good tight fit for pairing under other clothing.

Fitted and warm
These long underwear are nice because they are fitted and wrap you in a fleece like inside. They are warm and once I put them on I don’t want to take them off. Because they are fitted they look fine under clothes.

WORK GREAT
The only problem is they were a little too small for me and and I had to replace them with the next biggest size. Be sure take your measurements and check them against theirs size-wise before ordering g. Was my fault for not doing that.

I've got about 4 pairs of thermals. These are the best. Took them to Iceland in November. They do the job. Warm, comfortable and good fit

I purchased these for my son’s school camp and they lasted really well as he is really tough on his clothes. Not really suitable for freezing cold conditions but they were perfect for camping in the cooler months.
