This probably the best orbital sander I've ever owned,it is very smooth on the hands very little vibration. It does a great job sanding and the dust collector works better than most. I've owned a DeWalt and that thing was hard to deal with it left my hand tingling when I was finished using it. I've owned a few different brands and this Skill sander is amazing, just FYI I have had a Skill circular saw for about 12 years and it still works as good as the day I bought it. I would highly recommend this orbital sander.

Amazing sander. I needed this sander to sand down a finish of a toy kitchen for my child so I could paint it. This sander worked great and smoothed everything down pretty quickly. I love the adjustable speed and that the container holds a lot of saw dust, but I will admit that a decent amount of dust isn't captured in the container (but it was more than enough to keep me happy). This is a great addition to a tool kit for someone that needs a sander.

For the price, I'll be honest, I had low expectations. I used this to rehab two 50 year old solid wood doors and of all the tools I used, this was early my favorite. It had a walking random pattern which prevented a circular dig that holding it still might do. The vacuum and dust holder worked fanatically. I used this on every part of the door it could reach. I cannot express in words the quality it gave nor the amount of time it saved in hand sanding. I am so glad I took a chance on this tool. First photo is after second is before.

The sander itself works well—smooth operation, good power. It gets the job done for DIY projects. However, the dust box is disappointing. It doesn’t seal properly and ends up leaking dust everywhere. Still a good value for the price, but the dust collection definitely needs work.

This sander works great! The dust collector is a great addition, it does not catch all the dust but a majority of it. This is the best sander I have used to date, and I use a lot of tools daily. I'm not sure how it would hold up to the person that uses it daily, but for me as an occasional user it's more than good enough!

I recently purchased the Skil 5-Inch Orbital Sander from Amazon to make my woodworking projects quicker and easier—and let me tell you, I should’ve bought this years ago. Compared to my old Black & Decker, the noise level is way quieter, which means I can sand without feeling like I'm in an airport runway. The compact size is a major win—it fits perfectly in my tool cabinet and is easy to handle for tight spaces. It's super accurate for smaller projects, giving me smooth finishes without gouging or uneven spots. The quality is exactly what I’ve come to expect from Skil—solid, reliable, and now officially my new go-to brand for tools. The dust collection system works great for smaller jobs and can easily be detached from the sander, and I love that I can also hook it up to my shop vac for larger messes. From a functionality standpoint, it’s a total game-changer. I used to hand-sand everything (RIP to my shoulder), but now I finish jobs in half the time because of how fast the sander is and with way better results. It also came with three sanding discs, which was a nice bonus—but take my advice and grab a variety pack so you're fully stocked with the grits you’ll actually need.

This little thing is amazing. For 30 bucks it does the job. It’s not super loud or heavy, and it’s easy to use. I’m actually really happy with this sander. If you are thinking of getting it, do it.

I ordered this particular sander because it was in my budget range and comes with a Cyclonic Dust Collector Box. But when I opened it up, there was no dust collector in the box. I opened a chat with Amazon and explained the problem. Another sander arrived the very next day with a dust collector box. They even told me to keep the other sander! It did an excellent job of removing the finish on an electric guitar and smoothing out the rough edges on some old pine lumber. I had a little trouble finding the on/off switch. (It's on the front) I'm very pleased with my purchase and would buy it again. And the customer service was excellent.

This is easily the best tool I’ve bought in a long time!! I have to sand all the walls on the main floor of my house and it’s working like a total champ!! Easy on your budget at $61, easy to use, making my diy job much more manageable!

Das Produkt konnte ich nicht prüfen, da der Stromstecker US-Format hat. Passt leider nicht in eine deutsche Steckdose. Keinerlei Hinweise auf den US-Stecker in der Beschreibung. Wirklich schade. Bei jedem anderen "Baumarkt" gibt es das Teil natürlich mit einem deutschen Stecker. Auf den 20 Euro Versandkosten bleibe ich nun sitzen.
