Cord flexibility is key for success with this type of connector.
I have an atypical use for this cable and connector, so your mileage may vary. I have a handheld VR viewer where the power cord, a micro USB charge cable, plugs into the bottom of the unit and sticks out at a right angle. There is a real danger of the plug getting bent with normal handling of the unit. This has already happened once, damaging the plug on the cable, I was concerned that the plug itself could be damaged on this very expensive device.This magnetic cable connector is perfect as a replacement. One of the shortcomings of this sort of magnetic connection scheme is if the cable is stiff, it will apply too much force on the connector, causing it to disengage. The cord supplied with this unit is very flexible, so with normal handling, the connection is rarely dislodged. It also acts as a safeguard against accidents, liking having somebody accidentally tripping over the cord. I also like that I do not have to determine the orientation of the plug before connecting it. Finally keeping the plug in the USB port acts as a dust shield. All in all a perfect solution for my use case.

Don't recommend
Doesn't work very well. You have to constantly keep checking to make sure it's charging. I don't use it anymore bought another charger. Gave it to my daughter and she hated it.

Great product one major flaw
This actually did a great job of charging my phone. And the cord is nice and extremely long.The downside is the USB part that goes into your phone kept falling out. what kind of feets the purpose of putting in your phone and forgetting about it so you don't bend anything on the inside. And eventually the little USB part fell out and I lost it. So for a little less than a week I had a nice set up.I tried to contact the company about ordering another USB part and they never got back to me. That's the reason I'm giving this a 1 star I was happy with the product would have paid for another USB but never got back to me.

Weak magnet
Work as expected. The magnet is weak and disconnects easily.

One of the adapters doesn't work
Love the cord and flexibility however it's useless to me as the USB-C adapter didn't work out of the box. Very few of my devices use Micro-USB nowadays.
