Great job
Used on my slate hearth which had a couple of white water rings on it from vases l had stood on it. Worked very well and was exceptionally easy to apply.

Bad packaging
It seems to work OK on initial use. However the packaging is not really adequate as it was just packed in an envelope and looks like it had been squashed causing it to leak.

Beautiful finish
This product is amazing! I wanted to make my slate fireplace a uniform black after I’d sanded it down. It’s thin and easy to apply and also easy to build and layer on difficult areas. It has a beautiful sheen to it when dry! Absolutely love it

it Blackens Slate
We had a new slate fireplace installed that was grey, chipped and discoloured. Needless to say were very disappointed. We found this product on Amazon and after it was promptly delivered applied three coats to the hearth. It turned the hearth a dark black which blended in the chip after we had sanded it back. It effectively covered and therefore removed from sight the oil/grease type stains. It now looks like it was supposed to look. Excellent product.

This product was my last ditch effort for remediating the stained, horrific slate of our hearth and fireplace surround. No trick in the book could clean the stains. And I dislike the only heat-resistant paint that’s readily available because it’s matte black. After two applications of Slate Blacking, the fireplace and hearth have not only been rejuvenated, but they appear new and have just enough shine (akin to a semigloss). Application was easy (tape off meticulously and wear gloves!) and for two coats I used less than one 4 ounce (120mL) bottle. THANK YOU TO THE SELLERS FOR MAKING THIS AVAILABLE OVERSEAS!! I LOVE YOU FOR IT!!
