The good: The price, the shipping, the packaging, the comfort of the headphones, and how amazing the noise cancellation works. My office-mates used to shout from office to office, now with the NC on and the cushion....I can barely hear my independent office A/C unit 2 feet away from me!The bad: The pads are round and the earpieces on the Sony MDR-NC6 are oval, so if you don't know how to install and are not careful, you could rip or tear them b/c they are made to have a snug fit and the material does not flex much (recommend heating with a hair dryer to allow for flex). Mine tore slightly but the piece is on good and isn't going anywhere. My second pad install went perfect and did not tear at all. Installation instructions with pictures would help.The ugly: It's gone! The ugly outdated look of my headphones is no more. My headphones now look amazing. The only other ugly is that it tore...but again, that tear will not get any bigger and I'm not worried about it. They're staying on.

Makes a huge difference compared to my worn out original pads on my AKG K518DJ headphones. These pads bring back that original clarity and booming bass. I was skeptical of reviews claiming new pads made a big difference, but as someone with a lot of experience in music and audio production, I can tell you that these pads increased the volume, clarity, and bass levels significantly compared to the worn out originals. It's difficult to compare these to the originals as new, because that relies on memory and not side-by-side comparison, but I would estimate that the performance is quite similar.Only criticism is that the pads are difficult to attach to the headphones, as the edges that attach are not that smooth or even.

Well made, and they fit my Sony MDR-NC6 headphone perfectly. They were easy to install and they are more comfortable than the original foam pads. They are a bit larger, so the headphones not fit tighter and put a bit more pressure on my ears, but so far no discomfort. The slight extra size also make the headphones now barely fit into the clamshell case, but I do not feel this will be an issue. Some have complained that the sealing effect prevents the noise cancellation from working - I tested mine and this was not true for me. I do not know how they tested or if they understand how the noise cancellation works, but the actual difference I noticed is that with the sealing effect, I can now hear the noise cancellation circuit trying to work when there is no noise. In noisy environments, they seem to work better now. I only wish I had replaced them long ago, before the foam pads wore out, just for the benefit of getting better sound.

they're obviously not the same quality as the originals but they do the job and give a renewed life to a great pair of headphones. for the price i'm satisfied. saved me from buying entirely new headphones. My only tip is to be patient with the installation. Its a tight fit and hard to place but its supposed to be that way they're a bit stubborn in the beginning but slowly relax just enough to slip on.*updated 2 months later*I was skeptical that these would hold up but they're doing fine. Nice to see a viable, affordable option for extending the life of electronics instead of adding more to the landfill and buying new.

I just stretched these pads over a Sony MDR-NC6 because the orignal foam had given out. The phones were initially an open-air set, but I wanted to convert to over-the-ear since I'm now using them for recording. It took a few minutes and some patience, but the pads will stretch to fit - at 2.5 (circular, outer diameter) inches, I'm probably at the max for stretching. It features super thin fabric where the music comes through so there's no coloration of sound. I'll post again if and when the pads wear out, start shedding or doing something else out of the ordinary; but for now, they were exactly what I needed.

These fit my Sony MDR-NC6's perfectly and gave them new life! They are a little tighter than before. Also I can't comment on how they impact the noise reduction feature. As far as I can tell the feature seems to just add static to the audio so I leave it off. I didn't use the feature before replacing the ear pads so couldn't say whether it had a positive or negative impact. I'm just happy they fit and I can continue to use these headphones!

These Ear Bub Pads are working on my older (c. 2007) Sony Noise Canceling MDR-NC6 headphones. The pads fit onto the headphones and have held on firmly for the first day of use.

Foam pads finally rotted off my headphones and was thinking about dumping them as they have NEVER been comfortable. Well thank goodness I decided to search for replacements! These pads are what should have been on from the start! Super comfortable, and they cut out most background noise. No they do not affect the noise cancellation, they just seal to the ear so well it's like the noise cancellation is always on. Love them!

The pads fit my AKG K81DJ headphones with just a bit of easy trimming of the attachment flange. They seem comfortable enough, maybe one small step down from the original pads after extended use. However, to my honest surprise, the sound quality of the cans was substantially degraded, and they now sound pathetically tinny. I don't know if they are more or less accurate to the source material, but that's irrelevant because if you're buying K81DJ cans, you're not looking for absolute accuracy, but rather a crisp but warm and bassy tone. Placing the old pads between the new ones and my ears, as a test, essentially restored the sound quality. So I guess the acoustic material in the original pads was more highly tuned than I thought was even possible, and these replacements do not serve that purpose.

A good replacement headphone ear cushion set for my several year old Sony MDR-NC6 Noise Cancelling Headphones . Much more comfortable than original and will stay snugly in place. Has thin mesh to protect drivers but these do not seem to interfere with the sound. A happy customer here
