Could someone please confirm that this does not have any non-stick coating in the stainless steel pan?

one of the comments says they had "flaking" and it is not stainless steel. Can someone from Aroma or Amazon confirm this is stainless steel? Would be a bummer if I can't use salt to season my rice in the rice cooker.

Could you tell me if the lid is plastic or glass? Thanks so much.

The lid is glass with a stainless steel rim, a plastic handle on top, and a steam venting hole that is about 5/16 inch diameter (this is not a rice cooker with an all-plastic hinged lid). My old rice cooker lid has a smaller steam venting hole that's about 3/16 inch diameter.

Could any of you tell me what the minimum amount of rice required for a cycle? Sometimes I'm just cooking for myself, and I want a smaller amount.

I too have prepared 1/2 cup of rice without any problems. Just remember to let it sit, unplugged, for a while after cooking otherwise a lot of rice will stick to the bottom.
