Fantastic circular needles for heavy knitting projects.
Many years ago, I had a set of circular needles that worked quite well, but the cable was simply too short for some of my projects, which ultimately led me back to straight needles. However, when I began working on a heavy sweater and scarf recently, I found that my straight needles just weren't practical anymore. The weight of the wool was putting too much strain on my wrists, especially now that I’m a bit older. It seemed like the perfect time to try circular needles again, and KnitPro was one of the only companies that offered the size I needed with a generous cable length of 80 cm. The needles arrived quickly, and the packaging was excellent. Each end of the needle was placed securely in a cardboard sleeve and sealed in a plastic bag. This might seem like a small detail, but it’s one I greatly appreciate. In the past, I’ve had needles arrive loose and scratched from rubbing against each other during shipping. This thoughtful packaging ensured that the needles arrived in perfect condition, which is a great start for any knitter. The quality of these needles is fantastic. Made from electroplated hollow brass pipes, they are extremely lightweight and warm in the hand, which makes a huge difference when knitting for long periods. The finish is incredibly smooth, allowing the wool to glide effortlessly across the needles and the cable, with no snagging at the join between the two. The optimally sharp tips make it easy to pick up stitches without splitting the wool, which has been great for more intricate patterns. The cable itself is the perfect length for larger projects, giving me plenty of space without feeling cramped. Switching from straight to circular needles has made knitting far more comfortable. With straight needles, I found that the weight of my knitting project would hang from my hands, putting strain on my wrists and making it difficult to knit for long stretches. With these circular needles, the weight now sits in my lap, supported by the cable, which has made a world of difference in terms of comfort. This is especially helpful if you have arthritis, as the warm brass material keeps your hands comfortable during extended knitting sessions. Knitting in bed or on the sofa is also easier without long needles poking or getting caught on cushions. The pink cable is also a practical touch, as it is easier to spot if the needles happen to slip between cushions or fall to the floor, making them less likely to get lost. The only downside to these otherwise wonderful needles is the size labelling. The needle size is printed in very small, patchy black text, which can be difficult to read in lower lighting. My eyesight isn’t what it used to be, so it would be helpful if the size were printed larger or in a more visible colour that contrasts better with the silver needle. It’s a small improvement, but one that would go a long way in making these even more user-friendly. At £6.83, these needles might be a bit pricey if you’re looking to buy multiple sizes, but given their excellent quality and ease of use, I think they’re worth every penny. I’ve been using them for a few weeks now and am incredibly pleased with how they perform. In fact, I was so impressed that I bought a second size for myself and even purchased another for a friend who loves knitting just as much as I do. She’s just as delighted with them! Whether you’re new to circular needles or looking to upgrade, I highly recommend these KnitPro circular needles, and I’m looking forward to adding more of them to my collection. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope that you found it helpful and that it assists you in your decision-making. I try to be as honest and fair as possible, as those have always been the reviews that helped me the most.

the good, the bad and the ugly
Usually these needles are absolutely brilliant, but this time there is an issue I think knitters everywhere understand the pain of. The plastic near the part where the cable and the needle meet is jagged. For some this may seem unimportant but it can tug at the yarn, rip plies, cause the yarn to start pilling immediately and render the needles practically unknittable! Especially with needles used for magic loop where you move yarn on and off needles at a pretty fast rate. I've tried to photograph the slight jagged piece to the best of my ability with a odd drawing of the needle in bad shape. of course this has only happened once out of the nearly five times I have bought these needles but wow it is a slight inconvenience I'm not afraid to complain about! Despite the horrors described above, these knitting needles are usually affordable, easy to work with, and a lot better than their no brand name counterparts sold on here. I highly recommend for sock knitting when the quality is nice. the yarn slides on and off with ease and is very comfortable to knit with, quite ergonomic I think!

Smooth
I recently tried another brand of fixed circular needles and just gave up after casting on like five stitches, they were noisy and too much friction. But these are so comfortable and smooth to knit with, there's zero snagging between the needle and cable, extremely pleased

Needed soaking in hot water to revive memory
To be honest the flexible cord was quite stiff but I soaked it in hot water and it improved greatly!
