It all depends what you want
I expected this to make a sound that was somewhat towards a guitar (but quieter). They give you a tool to "tune" the instrument but I am not sure why because I honestly could not get a sound on most of the strings that my key finder even recognized - the E strings were prominent in sound but everything else is totally off.It does show you your chords and if what you want to do is practice the chord changes (go from a G to a C, etc.) that this will do that and you also have a metronome to guide you through with a tempo. I paid several hundred for my guitar and this was much less, but it doesn't seem to do too much unless you are really just practicing going from cord to cord.

Good price
I bought this for my father-in-law and he had me go through the instructions with him the first time he used it. He thought the instructions were difficult to follow at first but once he figured it out he was very happy with the ease of use.

Works ok so far
I got this for my boyfriend who just hasn't played in awhile and has been getting back into it. He says so far its taught him a few things but he hasn't used it that much and wishes it had come with directions. He asked me why it has speakers...??
