This bench is gorgeous, full stop. I can hardly find anything poor to say about it. It's very heavy, dense wood that seems like it's going to hold up for a very long time. It also assembles like a dream.A word to the wise about staining, however. Having never worked with rubberwood before, I chose a stain a shade darker than my dining room table expecting that the grain would reject some of it due to small pores like other dense hardwoods. To my surprise, it lapped up every bit of it beautifully. That means my bench is now a slight mismatch for the set I bought, which is a bummer. Not the bench's fault, though. Be sure that the stain you buy is exactly the color you want, because that's exactly what you're going to get.

This bench is exactly what I was looking for. Its solid, beautiful, and easy to put together. Staining it was harder than I thought it would though. 100% use wood conditioner. Even with it I still got some blotchy spots. I may end up painting it down the road. With this type wood maybe a lighter stain would have been better but that was my fault not the products. I just bought the matching chairs and will buy the bar stools to match😍

Wow!! Just wow! This is fine craftsmanship! Not a single flaw and this is solid 100% oak and its heavy and very strong and sturdy. This is a steal! You cannot find solid wood at any furniture retailer anymore, most of it is MDF and veneer. If you want a life time peice of furniture you MUST buy this! Its worth every penny!

Wood was pricey at time, we was looking for something that was real wood, and that would last. This was perfect! Beautiful piece to our table. Easy to stain, although I would go a shade darker then desiring, but we did use a poly & stain combination. Easy to assemble, very heavy box though. All around great buy!

We purchased this bench for the main entry way of our home, and what a show stopper it is. It's heavy, in a good way. You can feel the quality. It was incredibly easy to build, took me less than 30 mins, and came with the tool that i needed to assemble it (just added the tool to my arsenal of one-off allen wrenches).The wood is unfinished, and to be quite honest, we like it just the way it is, raw, yet refined.If you are like my wife, looking for that farmhouse look, but don't actually live anywhere near an actual farm, then this bench is for you!

This bench is FABULOUS. BELIEVE every great review. You won’t be disappointed. So finely finished ( smooth and clean) Assembled in 5 minutes with easy clear instructions and I believe it woul handle an elephant. Just delighted with this wonderful comfortable and truly lovely bench. Worth every penny - and probably then some.

The benches are heavy, of quality, and look like they were custom made. Until I can afford a custom made table and benches, this is a great alternative. Very happy with the purchase. I thought I would paint, but they are very pretty as they are.

We were so excited by the quality of this bench. The wood grain was beautiful and it was very easy to assemble. We couldn’t believe for this price how sturdy it was. We did one layer of water based pre stain then we did four layers of stain after a light sanding which probably wasn’t necessary. It did absorb a lot of stain so be patient. We did two layers of a wipe on poly finish. We were going with a beach feel so we wanted some of the grain show. If you want it whiter, do more layers of stain.
