Cabinet Hardware Jig Aluminum Alloy Cabinet Jig for Handles and Pulls Drill Guide Sleeve Drawer Pull Jig Tool for Cabinet Doors Knobs and Drawer Pulls

I purchased this knowing it was only $30 and the real version costs almost $200. I needed this for a one time job so I couldn't justify the $200 price tag. I will start by saying this is not accurate by any means. It did make the job a lot faster for me though. The jig itself is off. I measured from the spot you drill your hole to the side plate. One hole was almost 1/16" different from the other hole. My eye can see 1/16" off. Before drilling holes, I decided to go ahead and check the jig. I tried to clamp it to the door, but depending on how much pressure you put on the clamp, it moves your holes. I quickly found that wouldn't work but luckily I hadn't drilled any holes. Next, I put the jig up to the cabinet door and decided I would take a mechanical pencil and draw circles in the holes where you are supposed to drill. I did this to a few doors to see how accurate it was. Sometimes the holes were perfect and other times they were 1/16" off. In the end I used the jig as follows. I put the jig up to the door and held it with my hand. Then I took the mechanical pencil and drew a circle where you are supposed to drill. Then I removed the jig and checked the measurement of my circles. I then used an auto punch to indent the wood where I needed to drill. If my were circles were off, I would adjust accordingly. Then I drilled a small pilot hole followed by a 3/16" hole. In the end, it saved a lot of time but by no means perfect.

Just renovated my kitchen with all new cabinetry. This jig makes installing the hardware a breeze. You just set the gauges to the correct spread for your particular hardware find the center of height and width of panels. You can’t mess up. The jig stayed set in place even after drilling several holes for hardware ( I did recheck settings prior to moving on to next set of holes to drill) but the jig stayed set. This made for an easy time of mounting several different styles of hardware. From single hole knobs, 3”,4”&6” pulls and cup pulls. I would highly recommend to use this to anyone who needs to install hardware on cabinets, draws.

The best part of this jig is that it saves time. If you are looking for the most precise way to drill holes; I wouldn’t recommend this. As far as the quality of design, it lacks basic kinematic constraint design principals. When tightening the thumbscrews for all of the different adjustments, the brackets are subject to move since there is a sliding fit on the main rail. If you won’t notice a hole being drilled 1/16th inch off, this bracket will work fine for you. For anyone wanting more precise hole placement, I would recommend making your own jig or using a drill press vice fixture.

I bought all metal (red) Aluminum Alloy Cabinet Hardware Jig and it is really awesome. I used it to install pulls on two vanity cabinets and it did a really good job. I am not sure about the other versions, but my all metal version is very sturdy and precise. It is very easy to use. I love that it has measurements in both the metric and the imperial systems. If someone needs to install more than 2 handles or pulls, it is definitely worth to spend a few bucks and buy this tool.

My husband and I spent about 3 hours total hanging 53 pulls and without this jig, it would have taken way longer. I first bought one of the plastic template sets, but realized it was not going to place my handles on the cabinets where I wanted them and the drawer one was way to small to do my long pulls (which I knew going in). So I bought this instead and am so glad I did. It’s completely customizable for location of your hardware and is very accurate. It’s very well made as well and feels very sturdy. Held up both to drilling directly through the jig and using it to mark the spots and drill later. The storage sleeve is also nice. Highly recommend!

Buying this was the best decision ever!! It made the job go SO much faster. It’s easy to put together and figure out how to use. I screwed the cabinet handles into the jig itself to make sure I set the tool to the right spacing and to assess the correct placement on the cabinet. I held the jig in place while I drilled the holes rather than making pencil marks. I had no issues at all and am so glad I chose to purchase this. I saw one reviewer said one of the rulers was only in centimeters, but it has inches on the other side. Just put the tool together such that the units you need are facing you. Highly recommend.
