Little metal rods.
Uhh, well, they are tent pegs. Not sure what can be said about tent pegs. I wouldn't even be writing this review, but Amazon enjoys harassing me to do so. So, here is your review, use in good health.

Great lightweight tent stakes
I bought these stakes because I was getting ready for a camping trip to the BWCA and in preping my gear I found I was a few tent stakes low so I just wanted some reasonably priced replacements. I was pleasantly surprised to find that these stakes were actually much better quality than any of the original stakes that came with my tents, including a tent that I just purchased this year. They are noticeably lighter than the thin steel ones that came with my tent and despite this they are definitely quite a bit stronger, although I did manage to bend one slightly pounding into rock filled soil with another rock. They held up to punishment much better than the thin steel stakes. Only downside is that they are bulkier than the thin steel stakes, but they are not unreasonably bulky and when you roll them up with the tent, I really don't think there is any noticeable difference in the bulk of the tent. I highly recommend these tent stakes. I was very impressed with them.

Heavy duty, yet slim stakes keep my Christmas reindeer securely placed
My lit reindeer are my kids' favorite outside decoration. Even a slight wind will tip them over. When purchased years ago, they came with slim aluminum stakes (imagine the width and malleability double of a hanger) and the stakes became unusable. I searched AMZN for replacements and found a WIDE variety, but am happy I came across these heavy-duty tent stakes. Today I pounded them into cold dirt with a rubber hammer and they didn't bend or catch on a root or rock. The stakes are a perfect balance between sturdy and slender. (Forgive the "echo" on the picture, I wasn't going out in a t-shirt in 38 degrees F tonight. :))

Exactly As Advertised, Exactly What I Expected
These are exactly what I expected. They come shipped as wrapped together. The pouches probably won’t last many camping trips, but I can find a more sturdy option for that. I would recommend these as extras if you need them for your trip. I do also have a set of bright orange ones and do find they’re a little better with regard to not being a tripping hazard. (These silver ones are a little harder to see.)

Sturdy but easy to put in the ground!
An apparently hungry (or angry) bear went rampaging through my plot of land the other day and completely uprooted my mesh compost bin, sending the stakes flying. At least that's what I think happened, because I woke up to trash overturned and my bin's contents in disarray and the stakes nowhere to be found, presumably because the bear flung the bin with such force. At any rate, I needed new stakes for my bin. These did the job great! They are sturdy enough to securely stake the bin down, while being sharp enough at the points where I could easily put them deep into the ground with just my hands, no hammer required. We'll see if these are bear-proof, but if not, I got the 12 pack so I have 8 spares!

Sturdy and tough
These are great pegs for midwestern soil. I used three dozen to hold the bottom tier of about 75 feet of chicken wire in place. I placed the pegs in October and they are still in place after the ground has frozen and partly thawed at least once. They hold up to pounding without bending, and the hook is sufficiently curved to sink into the soil. They are well-engineered and a good value.

great buy; its sturdy for the style of camping i do
I dont do any of that hardcore camping. I bought these to replace my original stakes that came with my old tent which were lost. First thing I did was try to bend it and I made a veeeeerrry slight bend but, Im not the strongest. These are pretty sturdy but, with a stronger hand you could bend them.Either way theyre a step up from tje original stakes I used to have. The pointed bottom should help dig into tougher ground as well. Ill be testing them out in a few months.Happy with the purchase and would recommend! Arrived early.

Just what I was looking for!
I was seriously impressed with these. Ordered as a replacement for lost tent stakes. These are still lightweight (though not hyper- lightweight for backpacking), but ingeniously designed to be sturdy. The wire they used is hexagon-shaped, instead of round, which gives it more structural integrity and a small flat bit you can hammer without the hammer slipping right off. They even fit in the little stake bag that came with the tent.

Good, strong yet lightweight pegs
I'm happy with this purchase, the pegs are thick and very strong, but yet very lightweight. They are much better options than expensive stakes like MSR. The best part is they come with a carrying pouch so they don't scratch your delicate items inside the backpack. Best choice for ultralight backpackers and thru-hikers.

Great
The pegs were much better than I expected. Nicely packaged with a bag included too. The pegs are thick and heavy weight to it, will test it out on our 1st camping trip in a couple of weeks, looks to be durable.

Not for winter use
Hammered it into the snow covered ground, attached a bungee cord, it came out of the ice cold ground and went flying. I could have been impaled. I still can't find it.

Pegs are light and strong but the packing bag was too heavy
The pegs are sturdier and lighter than steel pegs. The packing bag is nice looking it has a silvery colour but I find it very heavy, I have to switch out the bag because the total weight would have been the same as my original tent pegs that come with a lighter bag.
