Dorman 926-028 Fuel Injector Adapter Kit Compatible with Select Ford/Mercury Models, 6 Pack

Used this kit on my 2010 Mustang V6 and it worked perfectly. Fit was exact, no issues with installation, and the car runs great.

At first I had a lot of difficulty installing these adapters, so I called Dorman.They were very helpful. I was told to first lubricate the hole these go in and then put the adapters into boiling water for about 5 minutes to soften them. I used silicone grease to lubricate the hole, boiled the adapters, placed the adapters into the holes and tapped the adapters into place with a 13mm socket on an extension, tapping the extension with a brass hammer. Went in rather easy. I removed the excess grease with a Q-tip.

These adapters or bushings or whatever you want to call them work. I installed them in my 2000 Ford Explorer because the old ones were well old, cracked and worn out. They work like factory so don't be afraid to use them. Added bonus they are half the price of the ones at any of my local parts stores.

A quick tip on installing these with the Fuel Injectors. Install them FIRST to the injectors then install the injectors to the fuel rails and then install the assembled unit to the block. Tighten screws and test for leaks. Make sure you lubricate the new adapter seals with oil so it can go to the block easier and most importantly, install the injectors to the fuel rail thoroughly. That's where it will most likely leak (it happened to me).

Very tight fit into heads but they did go when warmed slightly and a sized drift was used . Injectors fit into them perfectly .
