It's not bad...but it's not great either
First off, I am not overweight, but I struggle with overeating and my general approach towards food (like not being able to leave food on my plate). I really liked about 75% of the book even though some stories just don't resonate so much with me. The therapeutic work is excellent... but I do question her expertise when it comes to nutrition and she doesn't really back it up with science. She goes on and on about how bread is basically glue (it's not) and how her non-restrictive diet just doesn't include certain foods (uhm... so what is it?). Maybe she just tried to change the association to make it easier to stay away from but I would have generally liked more facts.I would still recommend it to anyone who is overweight and caught in the Jojo-dynamic because it is great to reflect on your mindset and your attitude towards food and changing associations is gold.Unrelated: The author has another book on confidence and yet all her book covers are airbrushed to the max. She's over 60-years-old and looks like it in real life. I wish we could all be more at peace with our bodies and our age - Mrs Peer included.

Buy this book!!!!!
I've been battling with Binge eating Disorder and all that's associated with it.I started running 4 years ago and lost 8 stone but put 2 back on and was increasing weekly. I saw Marisa's book and the reviews on Amazon and thought it looked worth a try. I'm so glad I did!!!The book is easy to follow and can be read a chapter every couple of days giving the information time to 'sink in' and for you to see how easy it is. I've finished the book 2 weeks ago and am now on the 3rd week of listening to the CD (you read the book then listen to the CD every day for a minimum of 21 days) and I am so happy with the results. You will be amazed at what you thought you couldn't live without eating has been left behind as you don't want or need it as you have chosen to be healthy.Diets can fail as you are denying yourself food. This book re-educates you and your eating habits. I know it's a cliché but I wish I'd found this book years ago. It's early days for me but 4 weeks in and I'm 1st 6lbs lighter, I enjoy the food I eat more and am eating less of it. I am eating healthier and I'm stronger than before.Thank you Marisa for helping me realise 'I am enough!!'

Fabulous!
I had tried so many books, weight loss groups. I was desperate I didn't know why I couldn't just eat like a normal person . I am now thirty pounds less than a year ago and eight stone five.. It has been easy and I promise you that. I haven't touched chocolate since my first read of the book and I couldn't go an hour without eating it before.. I hope you try this book, as you will achieve everything you are hoping for!

fantastic read,changed my life
been a yo yo dieter for many years and am a emotional and addictive eater after learning this from this booki have tried lots of diets, therapies, counselling overeaters annonymous and spent a fortune but who knew that a book under £10 could finally change my mindset and think positively about myself for the first time. This book also includes a hypnosis download to listen to for 21 days so you get alot under £10 it would cost a fortune to pay for a hypnotist.Since even starting this book i have been choosing to eat healthy and Marisa gives many tips, advice honest truth about the way we eat and what we eat and recipes also.I couldn't have been more grateful to Marisa Peer for writing this bookHighly recommend go be the thin you, you were born to be, you wont regret it

Don't buy diet books, buy this.
I came across this book quite by accident - I've struggled with food issues all my life after being brought up to eat everything set before me 'because of all the poor starving children', and using food to make me feel better or reward myself. However the title worried me a little because of my sister's history of bulimia and other food problems. (I need not have concerned myself) Marisa Peer has also had problems with food so she completely understands.I have read the book 3 times, one time after another. I have listened to the cd/download many times and this book has changed my life, the way I see myself, my attitude to food (I don't crave any foods at all, now) and I noticed looser clothes - I got weighed and hadn't realised I had lost 14 lbs. There is no actual diet . What have you got to lose? If you buy this book is is only the cost of a couple of slimming classes. Reward yourself with this book. You will not look back I haven't - I wished I'd had this information 40 years ago!

Life Altering
I honestly could not recommend this book more. I don't know how it works but 10 days on after reading I still have not had a single chocolate craving (as a chocolate and carb lover I could not be more shocked). Marisa has changed my whole mindset and attitude towards food.

The Easy Way to Shed Weight
This book is incredible. Marisa Peer is incredible. After 3 weeks on the programme, I have lost 5 kgs and will continue listening to the audio until I reach my target weight. I have no interest in anything sugary and have been more or less wheat free and dairy free without any effort. The best £5 you will spend!

Marisa peer weight loss
So friends an honest review. The book is nice with lots of mind power experiment and also food experiment. But it won't make you until you read and reread and practice her affirmations. She has done a sincere job and has done hypnotic writing or let's food comparison in a such a way you will gradually feel disgusted with the same food that you liked before.Excellent job Marisa. It truly shows her years of experience with clients and why she is famous.For example she compared sugar with a kids and dirty stodgy food. Very nice. Somewhere we wish to slim but don't want to quit on foods that are hurting us.You have to say I hate burgers... Not say ummmmmm so yummy.She says brain segregates everything as pain or pleasure. So no more yummyyyyyyyyy on unhealthy foods.I hope it helps you guys. Bindass buy it

Misleading information about Fat (macronutrient)
Wish the author had done study about macronutrients - "Fat, Protein and Carbohydrate" before writing this book. I am in mid of reading this book, and her statements regarding fat in food source is misleading. Disappointed to read statements like "I am choosing not to fill up my body with fat(food)" "fat-laden snacks".What makes her assume that fat makes body gain weight. It's not fat but high carbs(carbohydrate) food which makes body fat, makes body store fat. Junk food, refined flour, many kinds of grains like wheat, sweets of any kind, bread, soy, vegetable oil which are high in carbohydrates, when consumed, body runs on glucose and not on bodyfat. When consumed carbs more than fat which we normally do (check the percentage of carb, fat n protein in a packet of bread, carb is always high, fat n protein least), body uses glucose for energy and not bodyfat. Keto diet, which consists of hight fat, moderate protein and least carbs, makes body burn fat. Fat is good source to shed weight. I followed keto diet and have shed body fat. For more info on keto diet watch Dr. Eric Berg's videos on youtube. I have gained knowledge from his videos and applied it to shed weight.Dear author please don't misguide about fat in food, as it is people are not aware of how easy it is to shed body fat. I am not doubting your techniques, your techniques may be good but please, make corrections in your book regarding fat in food sources.

This book makes you lose weight without effort in no time
This book changed my attitude towards food entirely....the hypnosis works wonders and I have shed 5 kg in 4 weeks without any real effort...it’s so easy once you have read this book and gone through the hypnosis for three weeks. I was a sugar/chocolate addiction my whole life and now I don’t even look at it! I don’t crave cakes or sweets or chocolates anymore! And i am eating healthier than ever before. The book makes you want to eat only good food.I can recommend this 110 %!!!Thank you Marisa. You are a genius.

Me alegro de haber realizado la compra de este libro y me gustaucjo su autora.
Un libro con el que he adelgazado bastante y he conseguido un cuerpo perfecto. Aunque se necesita determinación por tu parte también, el libro ha sido el principio y cada vez que recaigo en las viejas costumbres escucho el audio que tiene para volver a estar en el camino correcto. Viene en inglés pero es fácil de leer.

The Author is amazing
This author has great insight into creating a healthy body. Was disappointed that the CD did not come with it. The seller did contact me and informed me that the CD was not available and did I want to continue with the order. That is a great level of customer service on the sellers part.

one-time read
I had a high expectation from this book and was somehow let down. For me, I have already read about many of the concepts in other books so it was just a one-time read for me. Especially, the part about wheat, I was not so convinced.

grande déception
J'ai acheté ce livre après avoir lu les commentaires des clients, et en pensant qu'il y aurait une session gratuite à télécharger comme indiqué sur la couverture, mais ce lien pour téléchargement ne marche pas. Je n'ai pas lu le livre donc je ne peux pas évaluer le contenu....j'espère qu'il va diminuer ma déception du départ.

I love love this book
I love love this book, it is really great the way she describes how we feel about food and the way that she makes you understand your bad habits. This book has help me to shed weight and I love, love Marisa 💕

Good book for losing weight
Her method really works, I always had weight problem and since I started reading the book my thoughts about food changed. I will recommend it to anyone with weight problems.

Get you mind on straight!
Thankfully I do a lot of Marisa's great tips already - gluten free, dairy free diet, but I think the self talk is a big key for me!
