A drink not just for special occasions
There are critics of this coffee, many of whom target the 'possibility' of the civet cats being kept in poor conditions without actually producing any evidence. Putting such criticisms aside, for myself, these coffee beans produce one of the most non-acidic coffees I have tasted, smooth with a chocolate nuttiness fused with a citrus after-taste. Essential that one takes care over the brewing process, ensuring filtered water is used at a temperature of around 80 degrees. The aeropress method with its ability to extract the natural essence of the ground beans is one I recommend in order to truly appreciate this special drink. The use of a hand grinder over an electric one ensures greater control can be exerted over the grinding process especially with such small quantities of beans being used. Will I re-order? Most definitely 'yes'. A drink not just for special occasions but for those moments when you want to focus on the process of creation of a coffee drink from raw bean to a crema-free sensory delight.

Delicious Coffee
I really enjoyed my cup of the Kopi Luwak! It's genuinely a lovely coffee and it's delicious without milk and sugar. However it is very pricey so if you just want a good quality coffee without the high price then there are plenty of alternative brands out there. However I suppose with the Kopi Luwak you're paying extra for the unique processing method and rarity of the drink! Definitely a positive experience from me, and I would recommend trying the Kopi Luwak at least once :)

BE AWARE ANIMAL ABUSE
Please do not buy ever Kopi Luwak, these beautiful wild animals are kept in tiny cages and exploited all their life for the production of the coffee. The Asian palm civet show signs of distress till they point to bite off their tales. Don’t believe that the animals are wild as the farms are trying to mislead consumers. Shame on Amazon to allow animal exploitation!
