Another trichotillomania sufferer - This stuff helps and works!
I first bought Lilash from this site last year to help regrow my eyelashes for my left eye. My eyelash-pulling tendencies are limited to just that eye and only happens when I am very stressed. For that reason, the differences between both eyes are night and day noticeable. First thing I noticed is that Lilash made the lashes feel "different." They were thicker, harder to pull or break off, and had such a strange almost plastic-like feeling that I didn't like touching them. Believe me, despite those side effects, I was pulling and pulling but those suckers wouldn't come out without major pain - not the nice minor pain/rush you usually get when you succeed in snipping off or pulling out a lash. Eventually due to the pain and the odd, un-satisfying feeling of touching the lashes, I gave up. Using mascara (black or clear) never produced those types of effects. After a while, the lashes began to grow. Can't tell exactly how long it took but it was a few months. I only intended to use the product to even up my lashes but instead they are now noticeably longer than the right side (I didn't apply Lilash on the right side). I just bought another bottle to apply them to the right and provide maintenance doses for the left. Not a bad problem to have. I measured the left lashes a few weeks ago and straightened out they are a little longer than .5 inch. Despite the length, the base of the lashes are the only part that got really thick so they still taper and look thinner near the top. They are darker/thicker than the non-Lilashed side but not to the extent that I expected according to previous reviews here. Also, it doesn't grow more lashes, just affects the lashes you already have. Despite applying the product across the top lid once a day at bedtime, the bottom lashes grew too but are not quite as long as the top lashes. For a minute there, I thought I was getting wrinkles but didn't understand why it was only with my right eye. Then I discovered that the lashes got so long on the left, they obscured my normal undereye creases.Negative side effects: You may notice after a few months that a tiny patch of facial hairs near your eyes have grown longer and darker. I pluck them when they get too long but no one would really notice them unless he/she is an inch away from my face looking through a magnifying glass. A more immediate side effect happened after a few days of applying the product: it made my eyes very itchy. It was difficult to resist rubbing them. Eventually the sensation went away but might come back every now and then if I rub them too hard washing or drying my face. Be careful not to cause extra irritation. If you are an eyelash puller you may get used to the different feel of your lashes and pull anyway or at least pull the tips where your lashes feel more "normal." For me, it hurt like heck trying to pull them but your pain tolerance may be higher than mine. However, keep in mind that just pulling on the eyelash makes the lid more irritated. Combining that with Lilash would make my eyes even itchier and slightly painful after those first episodes. All in all, Lilash a pretty good deterrent - depending on how afflicted you are - and grows your lashes beyond your normal lengths at the same time. Give it a try. Better and less expensive in the long run than being on a prescription drug.ETA: The picture of Lilash associated with this selling IS NOT what the current Lilash looks like. When the company first sold the product, it was in a small mascara box and contained only .18 oz in each tube. Also on the tube at the upper right corner of the word Lilash there is a large "TM" for trademark. If you go to the Lilash site you will notice the box is bigger and it comes in a .2 oz tube. The writing on the tube looks a little different. There is no TM but instead has a registered symbol ("r" with a circle around it) on the bottom right side. If you think you have a counterfeit or were sold the wrong size, send it back to Amazon ASAP. You can also call Lilash to see if you have a counterfeit. For more honest reviews, check out the Truth in Aging blog, Cosmetics Cop website (Paula discusses the "eyelash war" begun by Latisse when reviewing Jan Marini's new version. She also states that the eye pigmentation problem occurs when the active ingredient is applied to the eye, not the lid. If you're worried about that, be careful to apply to the lid only.), and Makeup Alley site.

Works, but....
First off, I have to say that I wasnt really in the market for an eyelash enhancer when I bought this. For some reason it appeared to me and after reading the reviews for this and other eyelash stimulators, I thought 'why not'? So, I received this and immediately I was disappointed in the shoddy packaging. The tube was leaking and the wand was broken right from the getgo. But cosmetics aside, I decided to use what was remaining in the dispenser before reordering another one that may have been faulty too.It worked for me, I did see eyelash increase in a matter of weeks. Although the growth was only in length and not in thickness or density. But.. the thing is, I honestly would not recommend this to anyone. I stopped using it because of several reasons; first, my lids were burning and itching like crazy. The feeling didnt dissipate, my eyes were red for the several weeks I did use it and I got weird twitchings in my face. I know that these side affects may not be experienced by everyone, but they bothered me to the point where I didnt think the increase in my lashes were worth it. Also, after reading more into the schematics of these lash stimulators, you should be aware that they can be dangerous. This particular brand uses prostaglandin which is a controversial drug used in the treatment of glaucoma and has some serious side effects, which include blindness among other things. Also, fyi, if you use this or any other lash enhancer of this type, remember that you have to use it FOREVER to maintain whatever growth you may accumulate, otherwise you lose not only the growth, but sometimes all the lashes.... Well, you might say, 'I dont care, Ill buy this twice a year always..' you need to also be aware that the makers of Lilash are currently being sued by another lash stimulator company (that sells their brand via prescription only) and this formula may well be changed.Anyways, those are my two cents. Does it work? Yes it does. Is it worth the risks and money? In my opinion, NO. THe good news is that there are other lash stimulators, (one in particular that is awesome) that I have used and work and are less costly, without the nasty side effects. Ill be posting a review on it soon. ;)

Slow but sure
I have average eyelashes that required several coats of mascara to be noticed to my satisfaaction, I then wore extensions for almost a year, which I definately DO NOT recommend, when I had the extensions removed I had little stubs for eyelashes, barely even noticeable. I've been using lilash for 7 weeks once daily now, I've had slight itching, nothing that was incredibly irritating though. In these 7 weeks my lashes have already exceeded their previous length, they are stronger, do not seem to fall out as quickly as before and appear slightly thicker. I stopped using a lash curler at about week 6 as they have developed their own curl. The only odd things I'm experiencing is a few lashes on each eye are longer than their neighbors which makes them stand out more when mascara is applied, also a few of the tips appear lighter in color than the rest of the shaft. The product does work, without the immediate dramatic effect for me as quickly as others, but if things continue to progress as they have for the first 7 weeks I believe that I will end up with lashes equal to the extensions I had.Update - I have been using LiLash for over 2 years now, it has become part of my daily routine and will remain a part as long as I wear make-up. My lashes are stronger, longer, thicker and healthy. I have purchased 3 tubes over the last 2 years, I did have one tube that irritated my eyes quite a bit, but it seems that they have made some changes recently for the better, gentler and thicker formula, improvements I am pleased with. While I have not accomplished lashes equivilent to extensions I am very happy with my results, with a good mascara I get long, stand out dramatic looking lashes that make me happy and don't look fake!!
