Great buy, nicely built.
I purchased this filter wheel to quickly change filters for my astrophotography without having to remove the camera, resulting in mismatched angles and diffraction spikes, etc...The filter wheel itself appears to be quite nice. It has five roller ball bearings that make the action smooth. The housing quickly disassembled and reassembles to install filters. Much easier than trying to thread them in through the m54 hole. The build quality seems solid, and all joints and fitment appears precise. The housing alone measures about 23mm thick, but with the necessary m48x.75 adapters on each side, the shoulder to shoulder thickness is 27mm. This is important for me, since I am trying to squeeze this between my GSO coma corrector and a canon DSLR. My coma corrector requires a working distance of 70mm to 80mm, with the recommended spacing for a DSLR to be 80mm. Previously, this was accomplished with a 5mm m48 to T2 adapter, a 20mm T2 spacer, 11mm T ring, and 44mm camera sensor backset. Including the filter wheel, the setup is no 82mm in total. The coma corrector threads into the m48 to m54 adapter (2mm, included), then goes into the filter wheel housing(23mm), then the m48 to m48 coupler (2mm, included), then an 11mm m48 ring adapter and lastly the 44mm camera sensor backset. If this proves to be too great a working distance, my plan is to use a low profile EOS to m42x1.0 adapter (lens thread, not T2) and a M42x1 to M48x.75 adapter on the camera side. That will remove about 9 or 10 mm from the optical train, however the filter wheel housing and camera body will likely interfere. The adapters will need to be shimmed to ensure the proper angle so the rotational attachment o the camera will clear. If I run into any unexpected difficulties, I'll update, but I dont expect anything drastic. So far this looks like a really nice piece for the money.

Very Sturdy and good value.
I really liked this filter wheel unfortunately, I had to return it due to the fact that it would not attach to my Off Axis Guider without an additional part (M42 male to M42 female adapter) Had I not had special requirements for the off axis guider, this would have worked out well attaching to my focal reducer and field flattener, and to my camera with the proper spacing. I can say that this was a very sturdy and well build wheel. I liked how when the filter was properly in place the wheel almost clicked into position so I was not guessing about the filter position. To add a filter you do have to unscrew all the of the Allen screws, take the wheel apart and then thread the filter onto the proper position. The wheel reassembles very tightly and snug and works well.

Very sturdy, all metal filter wheel
Built like a tank, it holds all the filter i have, a light pollution filter and three narrow band filters. I left the first slot blank, so that i use the telescope without filter. This wheel saved me from adjusting focus every time i change filters as some of them have different height than others. You can use it with your camera or a 2" eyepiece. I recommend it.

Good item, but poorly packaged
The filter wheel itself is as expected and will most likely suit my needs just fine. My main issue is how it was packaged for delivery. There was no secondary packing, just the box it is packaged in from the manufacturer. The package wasn’t even taped shut or sealed in any manor. It should have been shipped in a second box with some kind of protective packaging material!
