Fascinating brief reviews and information regarding 60 of the world's finest trains. While I would disagree with some of the selections, and some of the omissions, in general it is a very useful guide to train travel. Train buffs, you know who you are, will particularly enjoy this book !

Review is for the kindle experience - Even with the magnifying glass, it’s really hard to read the text in the kindle. The pictures are absolutely fabulous as are the stories of the rides.

I am using this to pick a few good rail journeys to explore.

It’s a great book for trailheads who wish to experience famous train journeys in different countries. Great prints, excellent paper quality and well bound. A good coffee table book to gift or keep for oneself!

Enchanting and informative. Great pictures. Good idea of costs, what to expect etc and some inspiration for doing different things. Alright, if you like trains.

Sonst kaufe ich eigentlich alle Bücher elektronisch, aber dieses musste ich auf Papier haben. Trifft den richtigen Mix: nicht zu langfädig, aber doch genügend Informationen über die wundervollen Bahnfarten. Auch die Auswahl der Bahnen ist gut getroffen.

Beautiful coffee table book but not a guide for train travel, if that is what you are looking for.
