I now have three. This one and two larger ones. This one I used to make holes in order to place mole chasers into the ground. Mole chasers are made of a plastic tube with a pointed end. The chasers are solar powered and makes a noise that is supposed to disturb moles and gophers. The chasers are a bit fragile, and they need to be in the ground nice and snug to the earth. I have used a digging rod to drive a hole into the ground, but I can't do that anymore as I was injured in a car accident and can't do those kinds of things anymore. So I used this drill bit, made an initial hole, and then worked the drill back and forth a bit to get a larger diameter hole. It takes a bit of getting the technique down so the dirt doesn't fall back in the hole, but with this auger, I was able to easily get 4 mole chasers into the ground in record time, perfectly-sized holes, and with no impact to my injured upper body. Ground was still soft. Went in like butter. Took me a fraction of the time it did while trying to put the snow stakes in with a post driver. Highly recommend it.
